The Royals have signed Alex Gordon to a 4 year/37.5 million dollar contract extension.

Great move by the Royals, as I think Gordon is just going to get better and better. They are doing a nice job of locking up their young core.

His BABIP was awfully high, he may actually be due for a regression this year...

Still too early to call it a bad trade in my opinion, though.

Pineda to the 15 day DL with tendinitis in his throwing shoulder.

Anyone ever get the MLB Extra Innings package or the MLB.tv package? Extra Innings is a little over $200 while the MLB.tv is about $110. I would prefer to watch games on my TV than laptop, but MLB.tv has more interactive features like stat tracking for fantasy teams and all that.

I got a cheap laptop during Black Friday, doesn't have an HDMI chord. I'm sure there's another way to go about it though, time to do some research.

It's not the rotation like in the last decade, but it's still okay. They will likely finish last in the division, but I don't think they'll be the worst team.

Good defensive infield (serviceable OF). Good speed. And now a little bit of power. They shouldn't be historically bad.

Shouldn't be...

Did my first 12 team mixed keeper league draft yesterday. I've been in the league for awhile but we finally decided before last year's draft to make it a keeper league. My keepers were Cabrera, Kemp, Pedroia, Halladay, and Cain.

C Matt Wieters
1B Miguel Cabrera
2B Dustin Pedroia
3B Martin Prado
SS Alexei Ramirez
CI Lance Duda
MI Mike Aviles (not real comfortable with that pick but it was late)
OF Matt Kemp
OF Alex Gordon
OF Adam Jones
OF Peter Bourjos
OF Angel Pagan
UTIL Kelly Johnson
UTIL Yonder Alonsos

P Roy Halladay
P Matt Cain
P Matt Moore
P Daniel Hudson
P Brandon McCarthy
P Tim Stauffer
P John Axford
P Rafael Betancourt
P Frank Francisco

Didn't think the actual draft was going to be that tough be I guess it makes sense since round one was actually round six. By about the 6th or 7th round you were really getting down mostly question mark type players.

Omar Vizquel made the blue Jays. Another cool story of an old guy who is still hanging around.

If you have a PS3, or 360 you can watch MLB games on there.
