Yeah, but I loved it. Chipper has been pretty adamant in making sure teammates over the years don't steal signs because he's so against it. He genuinely despises the Phillies because they're notorious sign stealers. I think this just set him off. Even Tulo Tweeted he didn't see anything that led him to believe Chipper was relaying signs.

Incensed and motivated by Moyer's accusation, Jones delivered key hits in his next two at-bats and matched his career high with a five-RBI performance while leading the Braves to a 13-9 comeback win over the Rockies.

I don't know what the problem was," Jones said. "I was literally having a conversation with the shortstop when he stepped off and said that. I don't know why he's so paranoid. But to be honest with you, every pitch he throws is 78 [mph]. So it's not like we really have to relay signs.

I guess so but he's on his way to being top 30ish all-time in career RBI.

33. George Brett+ (21) 1596 L
34. Mike Schmidt+ (18) 1595 R
35. Andre Dawson+ (21) 1591 R
36. Rogers Hornsby+ (23) 1584 R
Harmon Killebrew+ (22) 1584 R
38. Al Kaline+ (22) 1583 R
39. Chipper Jones (19, 40) 1582 B

Also, only six guys prior to Chipper have had a 15+ career .300/.400/.500 slash line with 1500 Runs, 1500 RBI, and 450 HRs - Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx, Mel Ott and Stan Musial. Pretty damn impressive company.

Considering his history with that wrist, you're probably right.

I pretty much knew he broke it when I saw it live, you could just tell by how he reacted.

Man, Humber has been worse than awful since his perfect game. He went 2.1 innings today and gave up eight earned runs.

Alex Gonzalez out for the season with a torn ACL

Guillermo Mota suspended for 100 games for testing positive for PED's for the second time.

So Hamels is going to just be pushed back one day in the rotation? Meh.

If he hadn't gone and told the media after the game that he did it on purpose then he wouldn't have been suspended.

That sucks for Werth and the Nationals. They could have a very potent middle of the lineup with Harper, Zimmerman, Morse, and Werth, but only one of those guys is healthy right now and it's the teenage rookie. Seriously, with their pitching, and all those guys healthy, they would be scary good. I mean there's not many teams that would have a scarier lineup than the Nationals if/when all those guys are healthy. Throw in LaRoche, a solid power bat to hit in the 6-7 hole, and watch-out.

Hamels is an idiot for admitting it. Pretty stupid reason to throw at the guy in the first place as well.
