Young is just so terrible defensively at third. 2 bunt singles that are both outs with a normal 3b let alone beltre

I think I'm rooting for Texas in this series. The Angels have far too much talent to keep sucking like they have. I'd rather they just get beat down as much as possible right now to keep them out of the Wild Card race later on. As a Jays fan, I'd rather have one team just run away with the West and Central.

I know McCutchen is our best hitter but he should really be batting lead-off. His OBP is right at .400 and that is almost totally wasted with the guys hitting behind him. Id rather see him bat 1 or 2 and let Walker try to come thru on some RBI opportunities batting 3.

What, Alex Presley's .259 OBP in the leadoff spot isn't doing it for ya?

Beautiful, yet frustrating, baseball by the Braves tonight against a hot Adam Wainwright. Bourn and Prado led off with singles, and the next three hitters drew a walk to give us a 2-0 lead. The frustrating part is we had bases loaded, zero outs, and didn't get another run. Still, forced Wainwright to throw 38 pitches in the first and 108 pitches in 4.1 innings.

That patience we're showing at the plate this year compared to last year is night and day different.

You know things are going good for you when Michael Bourn hits a HR.

Hey, he had to get his one homer at some point, right? Maybe this means he'll hit two or an unheard of three homers this year.

And whouda thunk midway through May, Brandon Beachy would be our best starting pitcher? Hanson and Huddy will come around and at some point Teheran may get called up if Minor keeps struggling.

ETA: Bourn has been a stud this year. His he's got a .333/.399/.429 slash line. Him OPSing at .828 is really impressive given that he doesn't get many extra base hits.

Is it bad that I get a semi watching Atlanta when they're hitting right now? Chased Wainwright in 4.1 innings and 100+ pitches and we've scored three runs on the red-hot Lance Lynn, who we've forced to throw 81 pitches in three innings so far.

Beltran hit another today to make it 13. Atlanta up 4-1 in the 7th. Hopefully we'll hold on. Sweeping the Cardinals in St. Louis would be nice.

Damn these early games after working an overnight shift! I just couldn't stay up long enough to catch the game winning grand slam by Stanton. I guess its never too late though...

Sweep the Cardinals to wrap-up a 7-2 road trip. Whoda thought, going in, the two losses would come to the Cubs. We go to Colorado and sweep a Rockies team who was hot offensively, and sweep a very good St. Louis team, but lose 2 of 3 in Wrigley. And, against the Rockies, we scored 29 runs in 3 games, and against the Cardinals we scored 23 runs in 3 games, but we only managed 4 runs in three games against the Cubs.
