Freaking sucks we couldn't manage even one run after Santana left in the 6th. I'm getting so tired of the Braves offense being shit. There's too much talent and potential in the lineup to be a 3.5 runs per game team. First game of the season and already a 1-0 loss. I was joping we could keep the 3-0, 2-0, 1-0 type losses around 10-12 this year. Not off to a good start.
Man I know its only the first two games of the season, but the Marlins offense is just ugly right now. Really impatient by swinging at the first pitch, yesterday it looked like all Hanley tried to do was hit a HR, him and Stanton 0-14 I think so far. I expect it to step up, but its frustrating as hell.
I'm reading that the Reds are close to locking up Phillips too. That would be something if they can sign Votto to that contract and still manage to keep Phillips, especially since everything out there has been saying the Reds are only offering 4 years.

But but but but it was a save situation! MLB rules dictate that you must put in the pitcher that has been deemed the "closer" into the game if you're up by 3 runs or less!
This same silly thinking is also causing the Jays to not use Santos right now.
I think the fact there are no more relievers after Santos is what was causing them not to use Santos in that position. Drabek and Alvarez aren't available, and Carreno threw a side session yesterday. The only guy left would be Morrow.
Gotta hope Perez can get you through the rest until you absolutely need Santos.
