Reds vs. Pirates. We owe them boys some revenge after the hurting they put on us last year. Reds are on fire, so I'm a bit worried about a cool down, but the schedule looks really great on paper for a Reds team who, in my opinion, is the best in the division. Time to try and create a little seperation.
The only teams that have really been consistent in the East are the Mets and Nets it feels like, though I think the Mets will slip eventually. The Phillies have been down, but are creeping back up. The Marlins at one point were 6 under .500 but now they keep inching closer to first place. The Braves are in a little free fall right now but the way the division has been going so far, heck even last year, they can easily still be in it as the season goes on.
And my dad more or less laughed at me and told me I should look into dropping him like a day or two after our fantasy draft. He's been a steal so far considering how late I took him. I've really needed him to keep my team afloat right now while the rest of my pitchers suck or spend time on the DL. Drafted Daniel Hudson, Tim Stauffer, and Brandon McCarthy and they've all been on the DL most of the season. And Halladay hasn't been Halladay-like, and my early round gamble on Matt Moore hasn't paid off yet.
If it wasn't for my offense (Adam Jones, Miguel Cabrera, Matt Kemp, Bryan LaHair) and McDonald, I might be in last place. McDonald has kind of held my patchwork pitching staff together.
