Default Luther on the way Out?

well there some rumors in Draftexpress around revolving that Luther Head and the 8th pick for Minnessota pick (6th) well and we would draft Roy.. yeah i know Roy is good player to have. an NBA ready player good at both ends will be a good 3rd man for tmac and yao if he deliver his promises.. BUT DO WE REALLY NEED TO GIVE UP LUTHER!!! i mean the kid has a good potencial to be a Star. if he just work his ball handling and Penetration he will be OK. and a Solid 6th man for our team from years to come... personally me i rather keep the 8th pick and not give up Luther coz i see the kid would be special for us in the long run...

Luther showed great potential last season, my opinion is that we should keep him.

i dont think we are trading him. he is the only one besides tmac that has speed and quickness.

Luther seems to be a high price in order to move up 2 spots. Plus, is Roy still going to be there? I think Roy will be a better player overall, and he has enough heigth to be a legit 2-guard. I'd prefer something along the lines of switching picks this year, and maybe give them our pick next year. If we stay half-way healthy, it shouldn't be a real good pick anyways, so I don't think we would be losing that much. Then, we have Roy, our 2 of the future, and Luther, who canback up both guard spots for a long time, too.

Luther Head is going to have a break out year this year. As of right now he is our starting SG. He is going to have a lot of 3 point opportunities and is very capable of hitting them. He is not going anywhere as far as leaving the Rockets.

If you are going to trade him then consider this:

Denver gets:
Luther Head
Juwan Howard

Houston gets:
Linas Kleiza
Julius Hodge
1st round pick (DAL)

What do you think?

Linas Kleiza and Julius Hodge. 2 first round draft picks in 2005. You also get another pick in the deal so you can build around Yao and TMac.

I don't think their rookie contracts would come even close to matching Howards monster contract. I don't see us moving Luther for any reasonable offer. We prolly won't be making any major trades. Me feeling is we'll use the MLE or part of it to sign some type of big man, and that will be about the only transaction we'll pull off.
