Default Lakers & Celtics, ironic?

I find it so strange how the Celtics and Lakers have been very similar the past couple years...

They met up in the finals of course in 08 with Boston winning.. They had there rematch in 2010 with Lakers winning.. In 2011 they both were second round exits to Miami and Dallas respectively who faced off in the finals.. In 2012 they had the worst start since pre-08 in the season and both were falling in the standings.. Boston and LA made few changes and now they are arguably looking like the best two teams in there conference since all-star break and have both climbed up to the 3rd/4th spot in the standings looking very dangerous..

Would be hilarious if we had that third rematch in 2012, Boston vs. LA III

If I remember correctly, they both also have the lowest-scoring benches in the league, and are still kicking ass in a season where everyone kept saying that depth was gonna get a team to the finals.

Nope. I remember a TON of dick-waving from certain Nuggets and Sixers fans about how deep their teams were. And where are those two teams now? Rockin' the 7 spot and a first-round exit.

Interesting parallels, I never thought about the bolded part in that manner but yea the similarities are pretty striking.

I hope we don't face the Lakers in the Finals if we get there... Bynum will kill us.
