...some shooters! Smith, Fields, and Shumpert are all shooting less than 30% from deep this year, and only Fields is shooting a respectable overall percentage. All we have is Novak to stretch the floor, and his minutes seem to be dwindling.
Two of those guys, Fields and Smith, have shown some ability in the past; around 40% from deep. Fields ruined his shot in the offseason, and JR hopefully is just in a slump (his shot selection is hurting him, but we know he can stroke it better than he's been doing). Shumpert is still young, but I doubt it ever gets much better. I like all of those guys, but this is a definite weakness. I don't think we can get away with Novak at the two.
And the offense is looking more and more erratic with each passing game. No doubt LIn and Stoudemire's return should help in that regard, as Baron isn't running any kind of real team offense out there. But I wonder how much of that is his fault, as it's obvious that Woody's Iso Ball is rearing it's ugly head sooner than expected.
What do you think? Sarcastic thinks Fields needs to die.
