Default Celtics should clinch the Division by April 18th or before

They control their own destiny and return home tomorrow to face a weak hawks team. Then the play 3 straight games on the road against bad teams

raptors, nets, and bobcats. Then they face the Knicks at the Garden on 17th

By that time, the Sixers should have 2 more losses, to the Raptors, and Pacers. The Knicks will lose tonight and tomorrow, and on Tuesday to the Celtics.

Which means on Wednesday morning, the Standings should look like this

Celtics-38-25
Sixers-32-29
Knicks-31-30

Anyone disagree that the division won't be wrapped up by next week?

The Celtics are going to win the division. What is more interesting is how the Sixers could go from the 4th seed to being out of the playoffs entirely in the span of about 2 weeks.

The Knicks and Bucks are too inconsistent for the Sixers to miss the playoffs. they will have the 7th seed and play Miami

The raptors nets and bobcats games ARE against bad teams, but it's also a b2b2b. I honestly don't see the Celtics having enough energy to beat all three of them, but you never know.

Hawks are at .500

That's impressive...

C's are going to have another tough matchup tomorrow.

Seriously? I didn't know that. That makes me feel so much better about the Rockets having a shitty road record.

And considering the Western Conference is much more competitive, it's even more acceptable to have that road record.

I wish the game were in Atlanta, so the Celtics would have home court advantage and a lot of fans to cheer them on.

Why even play the games?

Buddy just go and run this down to David Stern's office immediately.

Seriously though, yes Boston is in the best position to win the division... but I'd still give New York and Philly each around 10% chance at it. If NY beats Boston in the last game (in which we might have Amar'e) that alone knocks a game off the lead and ties the head to head match up. Idk the other tie breakers right now, but it'd probably be close. Then both Boston and NY have difficult schedules left.
