Default The overrating of LeBron's defense is just pathetic

Carmelo Anthony is a CAREER 41.9% shooter in the playoffs. He just shot 41.9% vs the Heat. Just last year vs the Celtics he shot 37.5%

Except that he shot 29.3% while being guarded by LeBron.

He did much better against Battier.

I'll say this though. A lot of shots he missed were makeable and the type of shots he was making throughout April. That said, LeBron did a good job fronting him, denying the ball and contesting his shots and he got help as well.

LeBron didn't guard Melo on every possession of every game of the series but he did do a terrific job on him when he was on him.

I don't think stopping or slowing down Melo really means that much though mainly because I don't think he is that good of a player or a scorer as many say he is.

That's before game 5. Post the stats after game 5.

That's the equivalent of 2 games, and it's really just several possessions are 5 games. That extremely variance based.

For instance, Durant shot 54% vs Miami this year and an obscene 61% with LeBron guarding him. Should I believe a 50% shooter should shoot 61% vs LeBron over a long duration?

He's good, but overrated when people think he was robbed of DPOY because of versatility
