shud da let him stay 4 one more, but it wud b awkward signing him to a one yr contract and people have kinda grown sick of him over time. his teams never seem to improve at their weak spots: rebounding and d. but artest seemed to fix a lot of that, i think adelman deserved one more year....but mayb it was time to move on...
i wud have loved to see carlesimo coachin, but i guess he didnt have the energy the maloofs were lukin 4....so glad wisenant (sp) wasnt named head coach, that cud have gotten crazy. but i wish he was named as an assistant. but things r neva that perfect
At first I thought it was the wrong choice but I like who we've picked as the new coach. I think Musselman will do a great job here and maybe turn out to be better than Adelman. I think in the end it was the right choice but I don't really like how they handled it. Musselman is definitely a better defensive coach and he's better at things like calling time outs during critical points of the game(like when the other team starts to go on a big run).
The Kings best days was the Divac/Webber era. And they played VERY GOOD basketball (besides the Vlade Flop). They always looked to run, and swing the ball. All thanks to Andelman, unfortunately they got unlucky a few times and couldn't get over the hump. Not Andelman's fault at all.
He coached like he was in the 60s-80s. Very fun games to watch.
Not so sure that firing Adelman was the best thing to do. I think he should've been given a chance to sow the seeds he planted with a nearly new squad. They needed some time to adapt to his system and develop some team chemistry. However I don't think he was the Maloof's boy and not personable enough in the community nor enough of a marketable figure. But the one thing that Adelman is/was is a proven winner sans the Golden State years. Musselman is still really an unproven commodity that comes from great bloodlines. Although I hope he does have great success.
He did a great job all this years, lets hoppes itn't a mistake!
We have had a lot of luck with changes, the cwebb trade, the artes trade, Its like everyone whos out of sacramento disapears from the nba.
EX. divac, jim jackson, clark, cwebb, and others
Horrible decision making by the GM. Rick Adelman is a good coach. Do you guys remember the SAC -LAL rivalry before. His coaching help them beat the Lakers sometimes. I dont think this guy has what it takes to coach to Kings to the playoffs this season.
