This really cant be a shock we got blown out every game against the Heat I think except once. The Heat are just better and the Knicks does not match up well against the Heat.

The Heat is always dictating the pace and play.

Like it or not, but the defense would be better if the offense wasn't so deflatingly ineffective. Also Chandler looked better this game than in the last, but he needs to kick that flu and step up.

But, true to Woodson's form, I predict more Melo isos and another loss.

We do match up with them, we just don't utilize it. We keep pounding the square peg into the round hole (Melo isoing at the elbow) and getting shit on by forcing the issue through the worst matchup we have with them - trying to score on Lebron at the wing. Meanwhile, Amar'e gets fouled just about every time he gets the ball, and Chandler is six inches taller than any of their front court players. Get the ball down low!

We're not even trying to put pressure on their defense. You have to make the defense adjust to your offense, and they've been adjusted to the Melo iso ball since minute one, Game 1. Woodson just won't try anything else. Because he sucks.

Say what you will about him, but D'antoni's offense was miles ahead of this guy's, and the defense wasn't too far behind (at least, when everybody was trying).

I think even though the offensive sets are terrible, that wasn't what cost us this game.

Inability to close out on shooters definitely did.

When we were winning the defense dictated our offense, not the other way around.

The team as of right now has fell back into the bad habit of thinking they can outscore teams.

The didn't win games that way.

I disagree, the pick and roll works against Miami, as does pentration and kicking out for an open shot.

We did little of both and still scored enough points on their defense.

But our defense didn't do shit, thus the loss.

I think the offense is a bigger problem. Especially when it leads to turnovers and, more commonly, long rebounds from misses that start the break. Like, mid-range misses.

And we have to stop letting them score those and-1s. If you're going to foul a guy, don't let that shot get up. Put him down.

We looked our best when we were still running most of D'antoni's sets, but without the hindrance that was Melo moping around and trying to get the coach fired. But Melo wasn't putting up huge numbers (in blowout wins) so obviously that had to come to an end.

And I really don't want to get started on Melo. Don't you make me.

Do the Knicks have anyone who can penetrate? Do the Knicks have anyone that can run a pic n roll?

What works against the Heat and what the Knicks do against the Heat doesnt work bottom line for what ever reason anyone wants to devise. This is why its not a good match up.

We were leading the league in turnovers under D'antoni as well.

You last part of the comment is the reason why we lost this one definitely, along with zero closeouts.

They worked for this one tonite, and the series is not over.
Yeah, they really worked hard for those 33 and 10 point blowout wins

First game was over in the 2nd quarter, second one was over in the 3rd.

We would at least have a competitive series against Chicago,I'm sure about it.
This way we're not even close to winning a game.

The way this series is getting called, your pretty much getting the whistle no matter what you do. Might as well get your money's worth.

Melo is shooting because he knows we dont have the talent to compete with them. Iso or no iso. Lets just call a spade a spade. Lebron knew what he was doing by going to the Heat. Dont let Dallas fool you. Everything has to go damn near perfect to beat the Heat. We dont have a pg. Shumpert is out. Chandler isnt himself. Bibby is a bum. Novak has been shut down and Jr Smith is the only guy who can create his own shot. Everyone said I was crazy when I said our bench sucks. Well Miami continues to bring guys who contribute on both ends. We dont and we are getting killed because of it. We cant afford to take Melo and Amare out. Miami can sub whoever out.

Fields can do both of those things. As can JR (but he has to be told to), as can Baron Davis. And Melo is supposed to be some awesome, transcendent passer, if you believe his homers.

Yes they do, JR, Melo and Baron can and did penetrate, just not enough, which totally falls on the coaching.

And those same three can run the pnr with Stat and Chandler as they did that too, just not enough, again on the coaching.

They scored enough points.

They even had just 13 turnovers, which I thought was very well, but they forced only 8, and none of the guards registered even a steal.

The offense really was not a problem, the defense was.
