I'm with Jim Brown, to an extent. I don't see special or as one scout put it "Richardson is the best RB since Marshall Faulk" (This guy was dead serious too. Explained why Richardson was better than Peterson, McFadden, etc)
I see the standard top 5 talent on the "big board" RB. I don't see a guy so amazing that I'm swapping my #4 pick to get the #3 just to be 100% certain no one will steal him.

Jim Brown was obviously a great player, and does a lot for minority youth and all, but he kinda seems like a dick.
I know someone that met Jim Brown briefly. Said the bitter d-bag vibe Brown gave off was so strong that he literally want to walk away from Brown the instant he got near him.

Brown is just a hard ass, a military type attitude...and he very well could be a complete a-hole
but I don't know what he has to be bitter about..he talks up plenty of players, he has no reason to talk bad about an athlete out of bitterness
and yeah, he said this BEFORE Trent was a Brown...if it is true that he has something against the Browns now.
It was obvious that the Browns were targeting Richardson. Maybe not to those of you outside the bubble, but here in Cleveland, everyone has been thinking that he was going to be the pick for a couple of months or so. That is the whole reason Brown was asked about him, I'm sure.

Now drafted by the Browns, I just hope this thing doesn't turn into a Steven Jackson situation where he doesn't get half the credit he deserves because he's on a shit team.
What do you mean? If anything, Jackson was overrated.
I said if anything he's overrated. What credit doesn't get get? He's been to the pro bowl all the years he deserved to and he's gotten plenty of props. People called him a top back even after the years he barely sniffed 1,000 yards. What more do you want people to say when he's on a team winning 2-3 games a year? What success did he bring the Rams? He's had 1 great year, 1 really good year, and a bunch of meh years.

He's the ONLY reason they've won any games.
Don't you think he deserves more credit?
That not enough? Think of every team they play and what their gameplan is.... "Uh, stop Jackson 'cause that's all they have" Year in and year out, he's going into games knowing that defenses are looking for him and only him every down. You put him on a balanced team for once in his career and he'd blow up.
I didn't want it to be the pick. I fought hard for as long as I could. You'll notice that I stopped posting about us not taking Richardson over a month ago, because it became clear that the franchise was going in his direction. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of sway within the organization.
I've since slightly warmed up to the pick, btw, out of pure necessity. What choice do I have?
