- Sterns, Paul, Los Angeles and basketball reasons
- Linsanity saves New York, along w/ the whole Knicks storyline with Melo, D'Antoni and Woodson
- LeBron passing on the last shots(All-Star Game, in Utah, etc)
- Mike Brown dealing with Kobe and Bynum
- Odom being a diva
- Howard staying in Orlando for one more season
- Orlando crowd being dead during All-Star weekend
when i look back at the 2011-2012 season thing that come to mind are....
1. Kyrie Irving's season excepting all my expection
2. Rubio doing way better than i thought
3. Linsanity
4. the whole chris paul basketball reasons thing (we had a good basketball reasons meme thread going... that was funny.)
5. Bobcats having the worst season ever.
6. Dwight Howard being a huge douchebag all season
7. Roy retiring
8. the huge deal about lebron passing in the allstar game after having a perfect 4th quarter, and then following it up against Utah and the pass the Haslem.
Some Major that I'll always remember from this season
-Rubio
-Rubio's injury
-Kyrie's amazing play
-Bobcats all time badness
-Mike D'antoni firing
-Linsanity
-Knicks under Woodson
-Utah's unexpected playoff run
-San Antonio aquiring Stephen Jackson
-Lebron's efficency
-D-Rose's injuries
-Bulls not missing a beat without Rose
-D-Wade's inconsistency
- The Clippers becoming the posterboys for flops
- The rejected Cp3 trade
-The Dwight Drama
- Bynum cementing himself as a dominant player in the leauge
-Kobe at like age 34 leading the leauge in scoring for most the season
- Frank Vogels amazing coaching of Indiana
- Steve Nash's potential last game as a Sun
- Dallas destroying their championship core and essentily giving themselves no chance at a championship
-The Cp3 to the clippers trade
-Iman's defense
-Isiah Thomas
-Jimmer Fredette being awful for most the season
-Spurs continuing their 50 game streak even in a 66 game season
That LeBron is a very good stat padder. But I have a good feeling that LeBron will continue being the biggest choker/loser in NBA History during the playoffs.
Ron Artest changing his name to Metta World Peace
The Lockout and all the Back to back to backs
LINSANITY (It was the year of the yellow mamba, lets face it)
Andrew Bogut and Monta Ellis trade
CP3, blake, and the Clippers
The whole drama of LA with Odom and Gasol
* Derek Fisher acting like Ron Paul (we need an impartial audit)
* Billy Hunter acting like the Federal Reserve (sorry but you can't audit us)
* Carmelo Anthony deliberately throwing games to get his coach fired
* Lamar Odom freaking right out
* Ron Artest freaking right out
edit: * Andrew Bynum turning into an elite center while still being totally immature was a great surprise but really he did freak right out just not as much as those other candidates for the I Freaked Right Out Award
* Ben Wallace retiring without freaking right out (not really the guy was very classy according to his own lights)
*not only did KG not retire, he ate a huge course of NBA for dinner and then had apple pie and ice cream for desert
*The Lakers and Celtics are so classless they try to trade off legends
* Timberwolves finally having the core of a great team with Rubio, Love & Pekovic and then they lose Rubio & Pekovic to injuries leaving michael beasley the least leader of all time as a partial team leader
* Oklahoma City rising to the top of the league like cream in a pitcher
* Knicks actually had a winning record
* Mavs blowing up their team (prolly didn't want a Phil Jackson * beside their name in the championship lists)
