Not sure how to feel on this.

Im pretty sure hed be better than a lot of young point guards in the NBA you get, Szczerbiak told The Post. Hes really been through the wars. Spain is a real pressure cooker. Every game is playoff intensity. The NBA, its more in the playoffs. He has great experience in tough situations and hes a good leader.

Hes 35, but he has a great body, Szczerbiak said of Prigioni. Im sure hes slowed down a little, but hes still got pretty good quickness. For 35, hes got the right kind of body wiry, never been overweight. Hes like Steve Nash that way. Youd think he was younger than 35 the way he looks.

So we go from Mike Bibby to a dude even older with no NBA experience.

Maybe he might prove us all wrong, but if we're talking about minimum salaries then I'd rather have Nate Rob back at that price.

Honestly i don't care, as long a dude can run an offense in a backup role, and won't be in and out of the rotation due to being old.

we need to make moves that clearly make us better than miami, or theres no point signing scrubs to fill in the cracks and holes we largely have.

if amare cant get it working next season, he has to go by trade deadline

Its not a theory just a fact.... look at every roster see how many players are acquired and drafted.

The Knicks have been bad enough but they always traded draft picks or drafted players for other players which puts you in a terrible salary cap situation.

No one drafts perfectly but they develop bench players, role players, cornerstone players, franchise players. The Knicks do none of it.

The David Lee trade was not good from the jump. Perfect example of a tank trade.

Other than Lee, who was the last Knicks drafted player to even make the all-star team, even once?

The Knicks have never been bad enough at the right time to get the players that you guys are talking about.

We've had plenty of players drafted and none have become anything more than role players, whether here or anywhere.

Not to mention the team on the verge of winning it all didn't draft their best player

As Knickscity said, when did we geta high enough draft pick to get a star player? And how many players outside of the top 3 picks are better than Melo or Amare?

Back to this Euro guy...do you guys now see why I was saying the Knicks make lazy personnel moves? This reeks of "I didn't do my HW." C'mon man, seriously? Can we EVER just go out and get a young, talented backup PG?

Jason Kidd said he would come to the Knicks.
Thoughts? (I know what franchize is gonna say about graveyards )

Jason Kidd on ESPN NY radio: Would be open to Knicks or Nets. He said $ is not as important.

THE Knicks have been bad enough they just dont develop any players. how many years has the Knicks gone 23 wins 33 wins thats bad enough. the knicks are terrible drafters though when they do pick but you need drafted players to keep the payroll down.

Miami is a bad example just like OKC is a bad example.

What team has all bought players? Its utterly retarded for everyone to think its ok.

LA bought Shaq, and got Kobe as part of the trade to send Vlade to Charlotte, so that they could make room for Shaq.

Then LA also traded for Pau Gasol. So their last 5 titles were centered around players that were not drafted by them on draft night.

When did I say it was ok, what i said was the knicks haven't been bad enough or lucky.

And Miami and OKC are perfect examples of being bad enough and lucky all wrapped in one.

OKC 3 straight years of top 5 picks plus Portland grabbed Oden and Durant fell to OKC

Miami sucks in the year of top 5 players being franchise changers plus lucky enough to have a player that the best player in the league wanted to play with.

The Knicks have never had such luck and even when they won 23 games, teams won even less.

I dont think you can say we've been that bad in drafting players the past 10 years. We've drafted good role players despite our terrible seasons but we never openly tanked to get a top pick or even a Top 5 pick. Maybe we were just too good to be "terrible".

The biggest mistake we've made is that our management has not been aggressive enough to get the guy we NEED.

In 2008:
Quote:
With Arizona guard Jerryd Bayless starting to fall off the Knicks' radar, the Knicks are hoping O.J. Mayo falls to six. But that is unlikely. As such, Westbrook has emerged as a strong candidate for the Knicks, if he's even still there.

There are rumblings Seattle, which was linked to Bayless, may opt for Westbrook instead. Indeed, one personnel director told The Post Bayless may sink the most Thursday night.

"He may be the best individual defender in the draft, on the perimeter anyway," ESPN Draft analyst Jay Bilas said yesterday of Westbrook. "He's got a lot to offer. He's a real hungry kid. He's worthy of a lottery selection, just a question of how high. "

Eric Gordon, more a shooting guard, is also a consideration, especially if Westbrook isn't there, and his handlers are trying to steer him to New York. Forward Danilo Gallinari, the 19-year-old Italian Stallion, is still being linked to the Knicks in some circles but may be too much of a reach and project at six.

Guess who we "settled for"?

Im not even going to put everyone through the pre-draft misery of the 2009 NBA Draft where we made the worst mistake since Frederic Weis. While, anyone with a brain could see we needed Steph Curry or Brandon Jennings and we end up with Hill because Donnie was not aggressive enough to swap with Minnesota.

well you can keep waiting for the next LeBron to fall in our laps. Ill stick with the guys who actually have a chance to compete now.Miami ruined the league. You either keep up or you end up like ATL. Gr8 roster on paper but have zero shot to make any noise. Superstars win rings.

I know one thing....

I don't see any team in the Eastern conference that has a single player that can go toe to toe with LeBron....

Except us.

Hate Melo, hate the trade, hate Dolan, hate the fact we drafted Gallo, hate the whole damn New York Knicks franchise.

But if you are still here and remaining a fan, you might wanna get behind that dude that wears number 7, and pray our guys rally together.

But the Heat are not impossible to beat.

You heard them joking about us too? Man I thought no one heard it.

My son was so pissed at the Thunder, he went outside the house and was flipping over garbage cans.
