The future is now. We didn't sign Melo, Amar'e, and Chandler to let them ferment for 5 years.

Nope i pass.
He is better than the stat sheet says.... You gotta watch him play. For a guy that doesnt have plays run for him he is quite effective on both ends of the floor!

Sorry but lets not ever mention Melo and LBJ in the same breath ever again. The only thing they have in common is they are black.

With that said I am getting the Zeke era feeling with this team. There is no more future for this team so they might as well trade Shump.

It's not like Shumpert needs 5 years to get better. He's already by far the best perimeter defender on the team.

I wonder if the people who called Carmelo "greedy" for forcing the Knicks to trade for him and giving up assets instead of waiting for free agency, will say the same thing about Nash if the Knicks have to give up Shumpert.

I would bet my mortgage that they don't.

ACL is not a death sentence, and it's not like he just spent the last 5 years in jail or a concentration camp. He will be 99% of what he was, and he will probably be better in other areas as his game expands.

We need to just straight up sign Nash, I'm tired of letting go of our good future players. Felton, Chandler, and Galinari were worse enough for Melo. One good thing about Nash is that he could get amare back to his old self and won't have a stagnant offense like last year.

But what we really need right now is a bench and another SG unless Fields stays. I say we bring in Delfino and more defenders.

The problem is we can not afford to sign nash outright we only have the 3 mill level exception available where he's already getting offers for 10 mill to 13 mill a season.

If his game expands. You act like it's easy to shoot jumpshots, even for a guy who's been playing basketball since he was a little kid and still can't do it. Rajon Rondo has spent the better part of half a decade in close proximity to Ray Allen and Mark Price, and he's still iffy at best. Or that anyone can just learn the instincts necessary to play point guard. Shump hasn't exactly demonstrated a high game-iq.

And your 99% claim is highly optimistic. Michael Redd certainly isn't 99% of what he was, and his game was never based solely on being an athletic freak - had actual skills to fall back on.
