Orlando is going to quickly realize they need to come down on their asking price. 1st of all, they only have a few teams Dwight would consider re-signing with. Secondly, they have this false sense that they are in the driver's seat. Sure Dwight screwed himself by extending, but that just prolonged the inevitable. Ultimately, if Dwight comes out and says to a team, "I'm not signing with you no matter what" then there's no deal.

At this point Dwight has zero leverage, and he isn't leaving close to 30 million on the table as a free agent.
He may want Brooklyn, but unless Orlando takes their overpaid players, he will not be in Brooklyn.
The Lakers don't have the draft picks anymore, but they do have Bynum, and a trade between the top 2 centers isn't a bad coup back.
By the trade deadline, who crumbles first? Dwight because Orlando doesn't lose anything other than compensation for their player, but Dwight loses a ton of dough.
I dont think the magic will walk away with nothing. that would be bad business!

Dwight still has some leverage. The most Orlando can do is make him play the rest of the season. End of the day, theyll just be prolonging the inevitable. The Nets can find someone to unload their players on. I think it would be Orlandos best interest to get this done before training camp. You dont want whatever new coach you hire to begin their tenure with a "Dwightmare" lol. Anyhow, Dwight is a dick. If he didnt extend, he would be where he wants to be and making more money. He handle the whole situation even worse than LeBron did.
