The Knicks knew Sheed was out for the year before the trade deadline I believe. Why not dump him and add another big. The Knicks need to find legit Center from somewhere. I dont know where but it has to be some kind of guy that can just rebound and block shots.
See my thread about Grunwald Rameek. You're gonna love it lol

Gift meet horse.... Grummy please inquire

The Kings and Aaron Brooks have agreed to a buyout.
Brooks had fallen behind both Isaiah Thomas and Jimmer Fredette in the rotation, appearing in just four of the last 12 games. He still shouldn't have trouble signing on as a backup elsewhere. The Rockets, Knicks and Jazz have all shown interest lately in acquiring a more explosive No. 2 point guard. Since the buyout was completed before Friday night's deadline, Brooks will be eligible to participate in the playoffs wherever he signs.

I hear the Rockets are going to get him. Either way, wouldn't this require us cutting someone? Seems like Scumwald is stuck on stupid with this roster.

Knicks needed to address pg. I hoped while injured that shumpert would watch, learn, and listen with Kidd and Felton and even prigioni around. But he wasn't watching and learning gaurd with those guys- he must picture himself the Carmelo/jr smiths instead.

I still believe shumperts highest ceiling is as a gaurd- offensively and defensively and that the Knicks should fight through the growing pains of playing him at gaurd because the best players the team could put out there would be shumpert with jr and Carmelo.

Playing too many guards (playing "small")is my biggest pet problem to see in coaching. What it does is make it easier on the coach- it's lazy coaching. It also makes it easier on the opposing team as well and that's the problem. The current starting lineup is the easiest look the Knicks give to cover-how stupid is that?

Knicks needed a trade- since they didn't make one they need to shake up the lineup and rotation. Lazy coaching- I think the guy just wants to keep everybody happy and just glide in to the playoffs. He needs to really figure out how each player could help most and put them in that role whether they like it or not.

Pg- Felton starts and shumpert plays there the remaking minutes

Sg-jr starts allowing for the quick hook- but my guess is he would actually play way more efficient as a 3rd/4th option than he does as a 1st/2nd. Kidd plays 2 all minutes shumperts at the 1. And that's about it other than as the defensive wing body

Sf Carmelo w shumpert/Kidd/Novak as the 4/5/6 of your 1-3's.

Pf&c obviously you need to start amare w chandler and hope you ever get Camby or Rasheed or both. Kmart will play a lot

Point of my whole ramble if you're still with me- shumpert has to get trained into pg because that makes it possible to put your best on the floor at the end of games.

They should have just traded him. He doesn't have any semblance of an offensive game at either guard spot, and his defense has fallen off a cliff from where he was pre-injury. He may never get it back. I would try to get him looking as good as they can to maintain any interest into the offseason and try to make a move for a serious point guard. Like Rubio.

Asked if he wanted to return to the Knicks next season, Prigioni, the oldest rookie in the modern NBA at 35, said he can’t tell and needs a full season to evaluate. But Prigioni told The Post he is not retiring. “I will play for some team next year — where, I don’t know,’’ Prigioni told The Post. “It could be in the NBA. It could be the Spanish League.’’ “I need to go to the summer, take it by day-by-day and think about it. But I [will] listen to the Knicks.’’ New York Post

I honestly hope he leaves. Knicks would be better off getting a PG from the D-League.

Prigs is irrelevant. 1 year deal took a shot he can go. Brooks would have been a good addition but too much money for the Knicks.

The Knicks are in a terrible cap situation. Camby, Novak, Kidd have terrible contracts. They make more than Jr.

Novak has some trade value as the best shooter in basketball. Im sure there is some team out there who sees him being underutilized by Woody and makes a move for him giving up something.

Camby's 3rd year isn't fully guaranteed so he has to prove himself next season.

Kidd is done. I think he wanted 1 last playoff run and the extra 2 years on the deal were just a cover so nobody talks up his retirement. He knows if he comes back another year at 40 that he will be in Priggy's role. Get him a seat on the bench but only as an assistant next year. He knows more about basketball than Woody that's for sure.

Will the Knicks add anyone now that we know Kurt probably can't play through the bone spurs?

Probably not lol Grunwald, as usual, is just going to sito n his hands and do nothing. I don't know how many guys have to go down before you say "hmmmm, maybe I need to do something." I mean we've taken a nose dive for the last few months and the only move he's made is signing a guy that we could have signed in January lol Oh, and getting rid of a solid defender for a 2nd round pick NEXT year...in which he'll probably take a foreign player who will never step foot in Madison Square Garden.

I doubt they add anyone other than the rumors of Delonte.

I will say the trading of Brewer was good to get a pick back, he barely plays in OKC, and no one has has seen his solid defense at all this year.

Might be still hurt.

I thought he did a good job to start the year.

Not sure what happened. But I really liked the pick-up preseason and thought it was a bargain.

I still like it. He was cheap and I thought his defense was good. He went to the bench because of his offense. He was putrid, even for his standards. Plus, his free throw shooting seemed to be getting even worse.

I don't mind trading him but I did think there were other players that deserved to go more than him. I mean Boston got Jordan Crawford for nothing. It would be nice if we could have gotten someone of use for him and another player on our roster instead of just Kenyon.

And Rameek, one easy way to remember whether we have a 1st is if we didn't have one the year before. This doesn't apply to 2nd round picks but a team can't trade their first in 2 consecutive years.

Grunwald is ridiculous. If not under these circumstances, what has to happen for one to say "let's make a move"? I mean your best player got hurt. You're 2nd best player is out. You're star center is hurt. You're backup PF is out. Your 3rd string PF is out. Your starting PG fractured his finger and is playing with them taped together. Your SG is gradually coming back from ACL surgery and got hurt last night. Your backup center is in and out of the lineup and has been injury prone his entire career. What has to happen for Glen Grunwald to make a move? Does every player on the entire roster have to go down at the same exact time?
