Melo caused the firing of dantoni. Woodson(another thibs)took over and so the injuries. Logic my friend. Lin was playing 45 minutes under dantoni but hes fine and we didnt have casualties.
So lin playing 45 minutes a night after not playing at all had nothing to do with it? You do know that it was reported that his injury was from an accumulation of strees to his knee. I've never seen a medical report that said "injury caused by too much defense."
Also, you do realize that if it weren't for Melo, Lin would have been cut right?

At the end of the day, almost all defensive anchors are injury prone. Only dwight hasnt until this season. And thats the only stat I need to conclude. Defensive players are like prostitutes, they dont have the skills to get decent jobs so they offer the bodies as sacrifice for dollars. Defenisve players hustle and do the dirty work banging against players. If you played ball, you would realize that youll exposing to injuries more with that style of play.
So they only make the All-Defensive team(s) because they "survived" the season? There are countless players who are equally adept at offense & playing defense, in fact being a good defender makes players more valuable at their position. You can make all sorts of conclusions but you're not winning a NBA Championship if you do not make an effort on defense and have players who can defend their man as well as with help defense.
Should basketball be about winning or being fancy, exciting?
Thats your own perogative.
I'll go with the approach that brings the hardware instead of the cheers.
Just stop dude, the majority of the DPOY winners have not been injury prone.
Thats why they are DPOYS because they are good at defense while avoiding injuries. But are you saying that only DPOYS plays defense coz im sure almost all centers roles are for defense. Or else why would teams pay for them if they wont be playing it. And the fact is almost all of them are injury prone. I gues bynum, oden, noah, etc dont play defense coz they arent DPOYS.

50% of this game is offense and 50% is defense so. And defensive players only becomes valuable if they have offense already in place or else why would teams pursue stars over defensive players. Or why teams win with stars and not defensive players.

All of the best star players play good defense and have solid offensive games.
