hawkfan Amnesty Scenario (where amazing happens): Hawks and Joe Johnson
The Hawks need to get rid of Joe Johnson and his horrible contract.
Hawks amnesty Joe Johnson.
Some team picks him up for 12 million per season.
Joe is not worth 20 million per year, but for 12 million per season for a team like the Hornets, Bobcats, Bulls (they can amnesty Boozer and use that money to sign Joe Johnson via amnesty), Nets, then he is worth it.
Hawks next year with Hinrich's contract expiring gets us at the salary cap. Amnestying Joe gets us about 12 million under, enough to go after a big like Emeka Okafor.

Okafor..maybe if he gets amnestied lol.
How about trade Johnson for Okafor...not that you really need Okafor. Zaza is a good backup and you still have Horford.
BTW, if you amnesty Johnson, his entire contract is off the cap.
