Brian Shaw should have been the coach to begin with... Smart player that is familiar with the triangle. I wouldn't mind Kurt Rambis giving it a shot either.

imo, if they lose, he SHOULD be fired. Dont know if the Buss' want to take that financial hit, though.

Magic basically said that there will be extreme pressure on jim buss to completely blow this team up: Fire brown, trade pau, trade bynum.

Pretty crazy.... lot riding on a game against the nuggets lol

Short year, no real training camp, limited practice time, f**ked up personnel situations, Bynum's immature tomfoolery, World Peace suspension.

A loss in game 7 would be a disaster but I'm not a big fan of hiring a guy and then giving up on him right away. This is a f**ked up year and he should get another go it even with a game 7 loss.

If he does get fired, how about making Kobe head coach and allowing him to be the next great player coach?

You can amnesty Kobe, and have Kobe make an announcement on ESPN that he will NOT play for any other team than the Lakers, he will not show up in any way shape or form.

With Kobes money sign Deron Williams, Steve Novak and Jeremy Lin.

Trade Andrew Bynum+Ramon Sessions to Orlando for Dwight Howard.

Trade Pau Gasol to the Denver Nuggets for Faried+Afflalo.

Then give Kobe Bryant 10% of the Lakers organization and a couple hundred million under the table over the next 15 years or so.

2012-13 Los Angeles Lakers

Head Coach: Kobe Bryant

Deron Williams/Jeremy Lin
Kobe Bryant/Aron Afflalo
Metta World Peace/Matt Barnes
Kenneth Faried/Josh McRoberts
Dwight Howard/Jordan Hill

mitch and lakers brass are denying reports he'd be fired if they lose game 7. idk, i think jim buss is committed to him for at least another season. something tells me jim buss is going to be more stubborn in his decision making. he doesn't want to 'admit' early on that he made a wrong decision or hiring.
