We went to more iso when our starting pg went down.

The LOL would be more apt for the other Knicks "superstar".

Amar'e often improves areas of his game in the off-season, and has been noted for his willingness to change or add to his game per coaching requests.

You know he didn't come into the league with his jumpshot. He learned it.

Nope, he developed his jumper after micro fracture.

And since when has a coach told Amar'e to improve his game? D'antoni never did.

Amar'e doesn't just pick up new skill sets to improve his game, he picks up the few he has due to compensating for injuries to extend his career.

Which is why he's begging for Nash, as that's the only player he knows that will give him the ball consistently.

Amar'e should get the ball consistently. If it only happens after Nash comes to town then so be it, although that would just be a further indictment of the current coaching staff (and a select few of his team mates).

That jumper started showing up in 2005. His microfracture was in 2006 or 2007. I think 2006.

And liked the expansion to his passing game we started to see last year, especially out of the high post. I though they were going to continue that, but after the trade and into this season, I doubt it will resurface.

Amare had microfracture during the 05-06 season somewhere in october, missing almost the whole year

He didn't develop that jumper til after he came back, which the injury was why he developed it.

He started working on it before that. He was hitting them against Tim Duncan in the '05 playoffs, when he averaged, like, 37/10.

He certainly didn't have it in his rookie season.

Why do you do this, Scooter? What is your motivation in it? The season is over and you're still finding ways to bash Melo in a topic about Amare working on his game.

Going off topic, but its been months now and you're still beating the same drum.

You go from suggesting Melo will take every shot and Amare working on developing a low post game won't change our offense. Now you're suggesting that Melo doesn't work to improve his game in comparison to Amare.

The "...watch Melo shoot jumpers" line was obviously a joke. I thought you got that.

My bad. I missed on it.

As a guy who openly criticizes Melo's game I thought it was just par for the course.

Well, a man may say full sooth in game and play.

But that would would be just as much a knock on the coach as it is on Melo.

Amare shot jumpers in his Rookie season. they just didn't go in much lol I should know. I had league pass that year and I saw every Pheonix Suns game. As most of you know, I was a huge Marbury fan.

Wherever he goes, take Tyson Chandler with him! Tyson Chandler is inept on offense outside of taking two steps and dunking the ball on pick and rolls. If teams did their homework better, they would just draw charges on him all day.

And that's what turned him into a great player, using his athletic abilities and size. How is that even Dantoni's fault?

Amare is at that point of his career where he's established as a player. I don't think his game will change significantly.

He's 6'11", 265 pounds with power and althleticism yet he has no low post moves. Thats a big problem.
