AVB truly is a retard. He tells Lloris he will be first choice, then after he buys him he says Friedel is first choice. AVB probably thinks he is using Cloughy/Mourinho Zen motivating tactics but really that kind of shit just leads to the players getting pissed off and turning against him.

Now that he's on Tottenham and already f*cking up badly it's clear to see he is horrible. He has already pissed off a quarter of the first team, and already his teams keep giving up points in the last second just like with his chelsea teams.

AVB probably hasnt watched Lloris in his life. Not sure how he signed him. Probably typed in google - top 20 goalkeepers in the world and went for the easiest to get.
But im sure after few practises he will see how good the guy is, and have no choice but start him. By October Lloris will be the starter. Friedel is good but not in the same class as Lloris. There are only like 6-7 better GKs than Lloris.

Friedel is better than Lloris. He would still be USA's first choice keeper if he didn't retire. Don't forget in 2002 he was the second best goal keeper in the world cup. The problem is he's an old 41 year old grandpa and Lloris is 25, and didn't sign that contract with Tottenham expecting to be second choice to an old gramps. Lloris has a pretty big reputation and hype around him, probably from becoming Frances first choice from a young age, that from everything I've seen of him, is not entirely deserved, similar to the undeserved hype Akinfeev used to get and still does get from some people. He makes too many rash dumbass mistakes to be considered top 10 in the world. He has no leadership qualities or command of his back four, that's what stands out to me as a big weakness for a keeper. But then again he's French, a good french leader only comes along once every hundred fifty years or so.

You must be high if you think Friedel is better than Lloris.

All you know about Lloris is based on his reputation, be honest, how many times have you seen this guy? Friedel is a stud, if he was Norwegian he'd be a national treasure so STFU fool

Has Friedel ever even actually played in the CL ? I mean Ive watched Lloris many many times in the CL while until last year I wasn't entirely aware of Friedels existence.

Muslera never plays in the CL, doesn't mean he's not top 5.

Supposedly Man City offered 200mil Euros for Ronaldo and offered him a salary of 20mil euros/yr but Real rejected, don't think it's entirely true though..

Kagawa got injured in the Japan qualifier today, conflicting reports on how serious it is.
