The rest of Russia has living standards compared to Western Europe and most of the clubs are located in the Western part of the country. I agree with you on why anyone would want to play in Dagestan or Chechnya but that's for another discussion.

And by using your logic should the Pistons or Lions continue to play in Detroit and get paid millions despite Detroit turning into a ghost town shithole?

Should Santos pay Neymar and those other guys despite Brazil having a large poverty rate %. etc...

Every single billionairre in the world had to step on good people to get to where they are today, some did it more then others, but what's your point? That teams with billionairre owners are evil? Ok.

Evidently there are enough people in Dagestan doing well enough to afford tickets to see Anzhi play, they aren't coming out to an empty stadium every game.

Also Kerimov putting all of these wealthy people in to Dagestan is only going to improve the area, not harm it. Now that they are playing European football, Dagestan businesses are benefitting from an injection of tourist cash from traveling fans staying in hotels and eating in restaurants. The players themselves are presumably going out on the town and spending alot of money. It's not all black and white. No one gave a shit about Dagestan before he started buying players for Anzhi, now football fans have no choice but to pay attention to the area.

This is how shitty towns become decent towns. The area is only going to benefit from having a massive club playing European football every year.

yep, because the money the oligarchs have "earned" by exploiting resources via corruption that actually belong to the people would not be better invested in infrastructure, education, health systems

It's better than nothing. This has been happening since the beginning of human settlements, look at the feudal system, look at ancient babylon, look at mesopotamia.

a tiny minority has always exploited the laboring majority. Deal with it. Accept it. Move on.

You can either continue to whine, complain and bitch and moan about it, or you can accept the fact that that's just the way human society was evolved to function. The morally corrupt cutthroat people always rise to the top. Deal with it. Atleast he's not just keeping all the money for himself in a castle and is reinvesting it back in to the area. The bigger Anzhi gets, the more jobs it will provide for the locals, more people will invest in the area and eventually maybe Dagestan won't be such a shit hole.

My point is that teams build entirely through a criminal fortune and supported by a corrupt government are a bane to society. Teams like these only cost the government money, not the other way around.

But yeah, I guess all the harm they've inflicted is going to be washed away by a handful of Champions League games every season.

Most fortunes are criminal. Even Bill Gates the computer nerd philanthropist has done alot of shady shit and screwed over thousands of good people to acquire his fortune.

Every single government in the world is corrupt, dumbass. Yes, even the Dutch one, the Dutch one probably one of the most corrupt in western Europe considering all of the human trafficking they are letting go unchecked.

Who has FC Anzhi Makhachkala harmed?

Are you saying that Dagestan would benefit more from not having foreign football fan tourists coming in and spending their money at local businesses and instead having no football team there and no tourist dollars and no international press?

Already it's working, you previously didn't give a shit about Dagestan, now that they have a football team you and millions of other football fans are starting to take notice.

You seem to have a very black and white immature way of viewing the world, work on it.

Priceless.

"The source of Bill Gates' wealth is exactly as dark and criminal as Kerimov's"

"The Dutch government is exactly as corrupt as the Russian government"

"Kerimov stealing money from the Russian people will make them rich eventually"

"Your world view is so black and white"

Troll harder.

Never said this.

These are just more examples of your black and white thinking. You got issues you need to sort out in your head, sport.

If that isn't what you are saying than your entire arguments of "every billionaire is rich through dirt" and "every government is corrupt" fall flat on their faces.

Not that they didn't already.

Not really. But if you only think in black and white, right and wrong, good an evil then I understand why you interpret my arguments like that.

Tom Huddlestone is for sale, he's a genius passer and playmaker, would be good next to Ramires, really hope Chelsea buys him before the deadline if they don't break the bank for Fellaini. He's a good player rotting on a mediocre team.

I don't make things black and white, but I do distill them to it's core without bringing up non-related nonsense.

Kerimov amassing wealth through exploitation of Russian society and then spending that money on vanity projects like Anzhi is much more harmful to Russian society than a team like Ajax sustaining itself entirely through revenue is harmful to Dutch society.

I'm sorry for you if you think otherwise.

^I don't know what to think, on one hand 14 Million € is a pretty steep price for a player who hasn't shown that he can be consistently great or at least good , but he's only 20 years old. I also don't like that his addition will probably hinder the development of our other young talents who play in a similar position, primarily susos playing time could see some cuts
On the other, from what i've seen from him, which i admit isn't much, he looks like a immensely talented footballer, great technique insanely quick with heaps of creativity and flair that he can bring into our game, i have also noticed that he isn't as lazy off the ball as other brazilians, a little like Suarez in that regard
He also seems to be great from set pieces
I don't know what his natural position is, i've seen him play out wide as well as in the trequartista role
Maybe Jasi can give me some more information on him ?

Also with his curly hair he kinda looks like footballers from the 1970s or 80s
