Mascherano is out for 6 weeks too. With Puyol out, it looks like Barça will have to play with Marc Bartra in the back the next few weeks. I wonder if they would try Busquets or Song there.

He can still be effective as a soccer player but you won't see him play soccer as good as he did.

Toni Kroos may very well stay on the injury list until the end of the season.
Bad News for Bayern even if his form has been declining recently. Looks like Robben will have to step up.

Kroos would fit on Barca as nicely as Kate Upton on my p*nis. Sick player. If you dont want him send him our way, we will give you Thiago and Sanchez as a bonus!

And people were saying Messi's career will be ruined because of injuries all the time in 2006 ( he had the same hamstring injuries ) .. played limited minutes in the WC because of that... ( if he was 100% fit Argentina might have won the WC, they had a great squad but lacked a true superstar ) .. since then he hasnt missed more than few weeks because of injuries... i have faith too and believe that he could make it for this game even as a sub. He is Lebron James when it comes to injuries. Basically you cant injure him no matter what you try.

HGH=early injuries and your body breaking down early, just look at D-Wade.

we get a penalty few minutes later.. ( a 'friend' of mine typed me on chat 'uefalona strikes again'.. removed him immediately from friends... whats wrong with people? are you blind?! it was a clear penalty. f*ck off )

Some refs don't whistle in those situations. It was a foul, but the Barca player just kicked the Ball away so he had to get fouled. He would've have never reached the ball if he wasn't touched, and he clearly choose the path Sirigu and not to the ball.

it's actually true, if they used HGH on Messi when he was young to help him grow it helps you have larger muscles and tendons and such then you would have had. It outpaces the skeletal structure and it can't support it. It would make sense he'd break earlier. Hopefully not, losing great players before their time is a terrible thing.

This is real...wow.

Anyway, to make you feel better...I think Barcelona are full of shit. They whine that people park the bus, but I saw 9 men behind the ball today, for the first 15-20 min...sure, they tried to attack, but if they lost the ball they all ended up in front of the box. Not just pressing to get it back but just 9 guys behind the ball. And when I say 9 I'm obviously not including Valdes.

Makes a lot of sense. You could really use another creative midfielder on the bench.

A few years ago you thought he was just hesitant, but Robben really is limited. Passing up shots with his right, not even trying on crosses and sometims even passes on a counter attack when the angle with his left is closed. That and he also has lost his touch in front of the coal. He should've scored 2 times this game but failed to deliver an even decent shot on goal from 5m to 10m distance.

Dogging on Robben right now is simply a matter of "what have you done for me lately". He's been injured and when he came back Bayern was sort of set for the season. If he returned during a bad stretch for Bayern he would have been heralded as the savior.

You can replace Ribery with Robben and vice versa and the piece you wrote still makes sense, barring the match specific references. Both of them are low IQ players who are really only suited in a disruptor role on offense. They force something to happen when they have the ball for better or for worse. Otherwise they bring absolutely nothing good to the team, both of them are notoriously shitty in regards to anything counting towards team play.

I've never been a fan of these types of players (though they have their uses), but to critize Robben for the very reasons all of Bayern was on his dick a while ago is a bit off putting. All the criticisms you mentioned Robben was already known for 10 years ago. What has changed? Basically if Robben scores the right goal at the right moment he will be the hero of every Bayern fan again, even though he has barely changed as a player since his Chelsea days in reality.

Xavi is getting old and injury prone. Kroos would be the perfect replacement.

Or another possibility is Cesc going back to Arsenal in exchange for Jack.

With the Kroos injury and Schweini inconsistency, you take out Robben from that team and they are not frightening anymore. Sure they could still beat teams like Hamburg and Freiburg by 6+ goals but it wont work against Barca or Madrid. Probably not against Dortmund either.

lol alen
Schweini has been a beast so far this season probably his best ever. And Kroos has been ineffective lately so his absence wont have much impact anyway. Bayerns showpiece this season has been their stellar defense with Dante and Lahm as the top performers and the defensive midfield with Martinez who has been excellent at tackling intercepting passes and retaining possesion and Schweini as the midfield motor and primarily as a play maker. They have become less depent on their individual offensive ability from mainly Robben or Ribery. Müller has probably been their best and most consistent offensive force despite his inability to create chances for himself. They are imo the favorite to win the champions league.
