Fabregas plays left midfielder in Barcelona's 4-3-3 almost always.

Yet you've never seen him play on the left.

Lol. Not surprising.

Default Re: 2012-2013 English Premier League Thread (La Liga, Serie A, etc.)

well its dm-busquets, cm-xavi, am-iniesta/cesc

dont see no LM here, i thought whoah was referring to left on the wing.

anyway he still plays mostly in the center slight behind the striker so its not like he is so much out of positions from his arsenal days. he just doesnt fit, and he is not that good anyway. always been overrated, its just when a spanish player goes to england all of the fans go nuts and overrated the hell of out him, example- mata, cazorla, silva and arteta. they are basically gods in england.

Look kid, Barcelona plays with three midfielders. One of them plays on the right side, one of them plays as a central holding midfielder, and one of them plays on the left side. The left side is is where Cesc usually plays. He plays on the left.

Call it a CM, call it an AM, call it a LCM, call it a LAM. I don't give a fuck what it's called in FIFA 13. He's the most left midfielder, he plays on the left. Look with your eyes.

Simple right? He's the left midfielder because he plays to the left of all the other midfielders.

Real's starters: Diego López; Essien, Varane, Ramos, Coentrao; Xabi, Khedira; Di María, Özil, Cristiano; Benzema.
I'm not a fan of Essien as RB, but anything better than ****ing Arbeloa. Can't wait for the match.

I'm hoping for a good match, but Gala definitely needs to step up big time to make it a match.

Seems like Terim's going offensive just like he said he would. Let's see if it doesn't bite him in the ass.
It will be interesting to see how Galatasaray will deal with Madrids Counter Attacks, since Eboue and Riera both like to attack, the burden will lie on Melo and Hamit watch out for Ronaldo & Co.

When was the last time Ramos played RB ?

Wouldn't he offer an extra attacking option coming over the right side, while Pepe and Varane could play as centre halves.

I can't remember, but I'm sure it was circumstantial due to injuries or suspensions. As for regularly playing RB, I think it he stopped being played there somewhere along Mourinho's first season as coach. I'm actually glad he's not playing there anymore. He was decent offensively (can't make a good cross to save his life though), but he's much more prone to making dumb mistakes and having mental lapses there. At CB he's one of the best in the world, and he provides clean passing to the midfield, something Pepe is not good at (Varane is showing he's quite good at it too, but he's still young and CBs take long to develop). I'm fine with Essien at RB for tonight. He knows Drogba well, so maybe that'll be a plus, and we have more than enough firepower as it is. Now let's see if next season they can sign a good RB for a change. Michel Salgado was the last good one we had, and it's been quite a while...

If you call crosses that miss the mark by 10+ meters, unnecessary and dangerous showboaty dribbling with no cover and a total disregard for defensive duties a good thing to have, maybe Ramos should play RB again.

He's an excellent CB, but man I despise his RB play.

These type of games Drogba performs in.
