The Sky Blues just have Chelsea's number this year. 2 wins and a draw against them so far this year. City needs to get this win so they can romp Wigan in the final and add a trophy to an otherwise disappointing season.

I've got PSV-Ajax on my other TV...heck of a game so far.

city dominating chelsea as expected

fact is city can beat anyone in the EPL in one match, but they just arent consistent enough against bad teams

zaragoza-barca starts in 40 minutes, no messi iniesta or villa, which means more room for everyone else especially cesc and alexis who had 5 goals in 4 assists between each other last game

squad: valdes(C) - alves - bartra - adriano - montoya - song - xavi - thiago - tello - alexis - cesc

sergi roberto should be starting instead of overrated thiago. everyone overestimated his development. he won't amount to more than an above average player. roberto is probably better already. i want to see deulofeu start to getting bled into the first team how tello was last year.

Roberto will never play for Barcelona consistently. Simply does not fit - the role he could potentially fulfill is currently occupied by Song....who is much better at it.

I think sometimes...Jonathan Dos Santos could get in ahead of Thiago. They play Thiago deep sometimes, and that's clearly not his role.

well i havent really watched sergi roberto ( i dont watch barca b ) so i cant tell... but thiago does have a lots of potential its just that he already thinks he is a star and has it all easy. he needs to work harder.. sergi should have played too but not for thiago.. xavi should have been rested too..
and the def. lineup is interesting, we also have abidal on the bench

he's only 21 and still improving. he's more offensive minded than song and is better at moving the ball around and picking out the correct passes.

jon dos santos simply isn't barca quality. they've been trying to hint that he doesn't have a future at the club for some time now. he's gone in the summer. a few premier league teams have interest in him.

The things you describe...Thaigo's better at them. There's a niche role for Song - it's the role Keita held, Yaya held for a while - to drive the ball forward and just offer a runner.

Roberto can do that - but he's not going to provide those runs. He's a midfielder, he runs the game, and I don't think Barca thinks he does that well enough or - "Barca" enough for them. He does it very vertically.

And I know JDS ain't great....but he's a better DM than Thiago.....and Song.

we'll have to see. what i like about roberto over thiago is how much more secure and comfortable in possession he looks, especially in tight spaces. thiago's talent is undeniable but the consistency may never come and his attitude isn't the best.

i'd have to disagree that jds is a better dm than song.
