I have a feeling Neymar will be a big time bust, especially for the money he's supposedly going to cost.

He's going to be fine I think. He looks good on the Brazil NT, good fit for Barcelona's offense and Barcelona actually has need for a player like him. (if that actually is where he ends up)

Bayern (not happening) or Real (who knows) would be more problematic for him though.

The price all depends. You hear figures thrown around like a 100 million, which is ludicrous of course, but I'm sure it'll be much lower than that.

Yesterday, the Spanish media (so take it with a grain of salt, or three) was claiming that Santos was asking for a starting price of 50M EUR for their 55% of Neymar's rights. Whichever the price ends up being, I'm sure it'll be way above that figure.

I won't be surprised if he ends up being the next Robinho or a poor mans Ronaldhino, or maybe a mesh between both?

It's all fun doing those back heels and other pretty tricks in Brazil with no pressure on you but would that work in the EPL?

I keep reading Neymar to Barcelona for €27 million. That wouldn't be a bad price, looking at guys like Götze and Lucas.

he's been invisible against almost every decent to good national team he's faced. highly skilled but gets pushed off the ball too easily and goes down at the slightest bit of contact

btw, those who are questioning falcao's monaco move. there's a third party ownership that owns more than 55% of his registration rights which rules out any team in england which rules out chelsea and manchester city. psg already has ibra and real madrid apparently does not want to pay the entire transfer fee + wages.

Seems too low. The kid is a cash cow, and his rights belong almost 50/50 to Santos and an investmend fund. No way they'll let him go for that money imo, especially when there'll be lots of buyers willing to pay way more.

I've only seen a couple of Brazil games really so maybe he hasn't been very consistent, but it seems like he's established his spot and is an important player for them. It's not like Brazil doesn't have options and needs to bring him as quickly as they have.

Pele says Neymar is the best player in the world... just goes to show how overrated Pele was if he thinks Brazilian competition is worth anything.

Following another disappointing season for Spurs the only thing Tottenham fans can predict for next season is a riot.

Just heard the news about Alex Ferguson retiring.

It's so refreshing to see a story of a man in his seventies, in the news, that doesn't involve child abuse.

In honour of Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, all Premiership matches will play an extra 2 minutes injury time this weekend.

Three Celtic fans walk into a bar... A priest, a poof and a paedophile... And that was just the first one

How can you tell Sir Alex Ferguson isn't English?

He's reached his 70s and hasn't touched-up any kids!

England v USA - Kick off 19:30.

USA will turn up at 19:41 and then claim victory.

What's the difference between Newcastle United and the Bermuda Triangle?

The Bermuda Triangle has three points

What do Alex Ferguson and the former employers of Louise Woodward have in common?

Both parties regret their decision to hire a Nani

When Brendan Rodgers said he thought Liverpool could finish second I didn't realize he meant in every game.

BBC News: England Women not expected to win the World Cup

Oh well, back to the chopping board.

Alex Ferguson won the title with a young team in the same year that he started talking to the BBC again.

Can no-one at the BBC stop playing with kids?

Liverpool: Hi lads, how much for Carroll?
Newcastle: 35 million, lol j...
Liverpool: Done.

I can't wait for next season's Merseyside Derby!

Liverpool v Tranmere Rovers.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been in charge of 1,500 games for Manchester United.

If you include time allowed for stoppages, it's nearer 2,000 games

Ryan Giggs is said to have ruled himself out of succeeding Alex Ferguson as he wants to spend more time with his brother's family

Why do so many housewives love Arsenal?

Because, they stay on top for ages and then come second.

Mark Lawrenson during the Germany v Italy game: "Germany need to step on the gas."

Woah Mark... let's not encourage them to do that again!

Jose Mourinho has dropped the biggest hint yet that he is going to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson next season.

He was spotted buying a new watch.

Neymar needs to bulk up if he's going to play in Europe.

They are much more physical than the Brazilian league.
