James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho to Monaco for €70 million. Expensive, but nice signings to start their big spending summer. If they get Falcao, that'll be a an awesome attack.

Just a piece of friendly advice: take anything Marca or As say with a billion grains of salt, especially in the late season/off-season.
As for the alleged signings, expensive as hell, but Porto are very good negotiators and always get big money for their players. I like Rodriguez a lot, I think he could be special.

The players were seen in Monaco with Jorge Mendes, so it looks like it will be going through.

Yeah, yeah, I didn't mean it's not gonna happen. I wasn't talking about this specific instance, just about how untrustworthy and overall shitty those newspapers are most of the time.

Gotcha. Isn't Marca apparently heavily biased towards Real Madrid?

I read that Fulham is going to sign Amorebieta from Bilbao...isn't he one of the better defenders in Spain? I'm surprised he would go to a team like Fulham.

Both Marca and As (the biggest sports newspapers in the country) and based in Madrid and strongly biased towards Real. Then, on Barcelona's side, you have Sport and Mundo Deportivo. Sports journalism in Spain is a sick and disgusting world, really. No objectivity or ethics whatsoever.
Now on Amorebieta, he was one of the best CB prospects some years ago, but he's around 27 I think and didn't really become quite the world-class CB he was supposed to become. With that said, he's a really good player. He's tall and strong, quite the aerial threat, tactically very sound and provides clean passing out of the defense. He's had quite a lot of injury problems in the recent past, though. When he's fit he's definitely one of the best CBs in the country imo, and probably the best lefty CB along with Inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad.

Oh right yeah. They're pretty much like the Daily Mail

Gotze ruled out of the CL final. Its upsetting because I wanted to see the strongest XI possible go at it. Would've been interesting to see how Gotze plays as well.

Is Gotze hurt or did he just have a sit in with the coach and asked not to be played?

He hurt his hamstring in the 2nd leg of the semifinals. Looked like he was set to be fit so on his return to proper training on Tuesday he tweaked it again and won't be fit to play. I don't think he would fake it, he's been loyal to Dortmund for years and he would be competing for a trophy where an opportunity to win it doesn't always come again easily.

LJJ, where will Strootman play next season iyo?

It seems there's a few clubs after him, including Milan and Fiorentina.
