Now this is a move for the ages-
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/...move-next-week

Azpilicueta

Safe to say with David Luiz, Ivanovic, JT, Cole, Bertand, Cahill and now Azpilicueta we have the strongest and deepest defensive unit in England, OMFG is this even real life

Chelsea will finish 4th in EPL. Book it.

The amount of space between their forward, midfield and defensive lines is borderline embarrassing.

Terry in defense will mean's they will never play a highline, and whether Lampard or Ramires is their CM , I see a broken team with no midfield passer.

Eventually Oscar will carry them but not right now, right now he's too young.

Chelsea will not even get to Barca, Chelsea has no chance vs. Barca. Chelsea will definitely not win the final even if they get pass Barca.

They are nowhere near a lock for only 4th, sorry. Let's see how things play out at least a little.

Yes, we all know Frank Lampard is unable to pass the ball around the field. John Obi Mikel (92% pass completion rate, highest in EPL) is just completely unable to keep possession! It's not like that same midfield has won countless trophies and titles over the past 7 years.

Nope.

I'm not talking about Barca here, I'm talking about the season as a whole, the games they played against Barca and Bayern were brilliant, I respect them for what they did to win, and I think they did the right thing.

But they have completely overhauled their team and they cannot play the way they did in those games anymore. They have attackers who desperately want the ball at their feet and they have no one to exert control over games and get said attackers the ball.

That's a broken team.

Add to that the players they signed are young and have more expectations on them than they logically should.

I have like Mikel to be honest, he isn't consistent but when he's on , he's great and Lampard is Lampard , he was great for those 3 games that won them the CL but it's not like he's a central midfielder.

I see a broken team that is completely changing style this season.

It will take time and will eventually pay off but this season, this season I see them as 4th and nothing more.

Success in Cup competitions will be predicated on if they decide to do what they did last year , or implement a system more fitting of the players they signed.

I really think Arsenal will be fine despite losing RVP and Song. I don't even understand why Barca would go after Song, their only needs it seems is a CB and a big forward. If they want to use Song as a CB like others have mentioned wouldn't it be wise to go after a player like De Rossi who would fit in beautifully?(imagine the position he played in the beginning of the Euro's)

Anyways for Arsenal they have much more depth this year than last where last year they were in trouble by seasons start when losing Cesc and Nasri. Song will be easily replaced imo and I think they are banking on Wilshere to recover and replace him. As for RVP they replaced him with Giroud and Podolski two really good players.

Podolski---Giroud---Walcott/Ox
--------Corloza
---Wilshere----Arteta
Gibbs--Verm--French guy--Sagna
--------Woj

Then you have players like Sahin, Gervinho, Arshavin, Ramsey, Rosickey, Ox, Mertesacker, Santos, etc, on the bench.
