Huddlestone didn't even start and AVB is trying to marginalize him, Huddlestone tweeted after the game "Respect is earned, not given" before deleting it after an hour, and AVB promised Michael Dawson would be captain in preseason, and then he didn't even start him and gave Gallas the arm band. A new disaster is about to unfold before our eyes.

Sorry Jasi.

Still no news on this.
Who knows how this story will end...

Fiorentina had a very nice market session. We have a solid team now.
Of course not the same strength as City, and with no European tournament.
But it may be more difficult to lure JoJo out of a team with a very solid defense, and Borja Valero, Pizarro, Aquilani and Mati Fernandez in the midfield.
Now he's THE star in a team that will compete for a UCL spot, so he may become a much more valuable piece for next year's summer market.

Fiorentina and Roma with a legit chance at UCL spots this year, should be fun to follow.

If we bought De Rossi, we would have the best midfield of all time, hands down.

And im pretty sure every team was interested in De Rossi the last 6-7 seasons, especially United. But he kept saying that he will stay at Roma for life. And he did, at 29 he is already a Roma legend, and is arguably the most important player on the promising Italy. He might not win any titles, but he will be respected, for life.

That's one hell of a midfield. I will definitely follow you guys this season.

Yep, looks like Goal.com was premature in reporting the deal was "close". Fiorentina has put a very nice team together, that's for sure. Pizarro didn't play much at City last season but he made a nice impact when he got minutes. Borja Valero is an excellent player from the Villarreal games I've seen, and Aquilani obviously is a capable midfielder himself. I'll definitely have to watch some of their games this year.

Adebayor went to the Spurs for good now I think.
Spurs also want to purchase Pjanic from Roma.

Hopefully not.

The De Rossi-Bradley-Pjanic midfield is potentially the best in Serie A. Roma can make a strong push for 2nd this year...possibly even a push for Serie A if Juventus don't sign a forward.

The Bradley signing was pure genius. Bradley is a really good player who can play box to box, command the midfield and also add in with the offense. He's quickly becoming America's best player(perhaps over Dempsey as well).

That's a solid midfield and I'm guessing Pjanic is the attacking player of the bunch?

Yeah I really don't want Pjanic to go to the Spurs. I also heard that Barca offered for Pjanic but it was rejected. Not sure how credible that is though.

Bradley is a player I've followed for a while.

I often don't like American players but I love Michael Bradley. He just finds a way to influence each and every game he plays in, and his game has no weakness.

He's the ideal partner for someone like De Rossi who picks and chooses when and where to influence games, Bradley can succesfully fill any role to complement him.

Essentially he's the American Luis Enrique.

Pjanic is a great talent , comfortable on the ball , great understanding of space and calm...a bit in between an attacking midfielder and a Cm.

It's a shame they didn't retain Gago.

Then they would definitely have the best midfield in Italy.

they have a great GK too- Stekelenburg and some great forward depth - Totti, Krkic, Okaka, Borrielo, Lamela ( great young player), Osvaldo and the new signing Destro ( anotehr young stud, played against England in the Euros )

They need some defenders too, and most importantly to stay healthy, and i think 2nd place after Juve is very possible
