Thanks.
I go on GOAL.com here and there. The site is fine but the stories can be extra sensational and misleading.

I think you are in NY right because you are a big Red Bull Fan? You seem to know a lot so i'll do what you do (taking into account the sensationalism). ESPN's coverage on soccer sucks. They reported Modric was on Real like 3 days ago.

It's official, Luka Modric to Real Madrid for 30 millions (pounds, i guess? That would be 40+ million euro).
Lebowsky, you can thank me (and yourself and all the other inhabitants of Euro-zone who are paying this transfer via the EU loan to Spanish banks) later.

I'm actually not too excited about the signing. I don't think he's worth that much, and it's not like we even need him. Whatever, let's see what he can do. Btw, I saw Fiorentina won with 2 from Jovetic. How did the rest of the lot do (especially Valero) ?

That's what I was wondering too.
Will he even be a starter?

I don't think so, at least not right off the bat. Mourinho prefers a stronger midfield, Alonso + someone defensive + trequartista (Ozil, or Modric when he gets to play). Let's see how he manages them all. Btw, I just saw highlights of Fiorentina vs. Udinese, and that wouldn't been an AMAZING free kick goal by Pasqual had it gone in.

Exactly. You're paying 40+ mln for a supersub. Envy here.
Yes it was a good start of the season for us. I like what Montella is doing. And Borja is wonderful! I am yet to see him play a wrong ball
Appartently we are strongly after Berbatov, if he really comes here... I will start to dream!

L'Equipe is the most legit paper out there , unfortunately..it's French.
BBC is probably the best English site.
Sites like Goal and Eurosport are a general hub for news and they just put up any stray rumor from any paper that will catch some attention so they aren't really that credible.
Avoid sites the cite Marca or any italian media whatsoever.

Mourinhio actually plays a weaker midfield than any of the top teams bar United.
The way we play, posession in the middle of the pitch is virtually non existent, it's all about quick transitions from attack to defense, Alonso can control a game if neccessary and if you put passing options like Benzema , Ozil and now Modric around him.
But Mourinhio has built the team around Ronaldo , who is a player that needs to accelerate the pace of the game to flourish, him and Di Maria are front runners and outlets who make decisions very early in the play.
They go for the homerun more often than not rather than recycling possession and breaking down teams. They rather not let teams set up to begin with.
And since they are the primary outlets we play at a high pace.
