It's not like they got an easy road to victory like when Mourinho won with Porto.
Last year FC Basel>United, results don't lie, plus head to head Basel kicked united's ass in both matches.
Losing 4-1 to Athletico is not a big deal. It's obvious Di Matteo told everyone to take it easy while the Athletico coach even said his players would put their blood sweat and tears into winning this stupid trophy.
Athletico was playing for their lives and Chelsea treated it like a friendly.
Of course they probably started trying when they went down 3-0 because they didn't want to get humiliated, but its not a big deal.
Torres was useless this game. What if Torres gets hurt and then Sturridge has to start, who is Sturridge's backup, Victor Moses? He can play striker but isnt that good at it.
STURRIDGE! He needs to start vs shitty QPR!
Meh, you're never gonna convince someone to change their opinion in regards to this debate. I say Chelsea are the top dogs in Europe because they won....but even with a gun to my head, I wouldn't say they're the best team. The best team is something on paper. ie. On paper, if the 2011-2012 CL campaign was simulated 100 times, who would win it the most times? In this case people are allowed to think critically and possibly come to the conclusion that the best team didn't win the CL.
I certainly will not take anything away from Chelsea though. As I said, they're top dogs in Europe until some dethrones them. Going back to the gun to my head thing though, if that happened and I was asked to pick the winner of the 2011-2012 CL season if it were to be replayed, I would not pick Chelsea.
Is that fair enough? I know people here like to disagree for the sake of it...

Barca and Madrid earn their tv rights, the league would get very little exposure without them.
What's up with the new wave of retarded misinformed idiots? Your football knowledge is bad as your bball's it seems. Martinez had contract with Bilbao till 2016 and he took a 10 million euro paycut. Finally Bayern didn't buy him out, Martinez dissolved his contract by paying his transfer clause to the league.

Edin should have at least 1 goal right now if Kolarov could cross properly. Guy tried to give it to Tevez and lost the ball while Dzeko was waiting in the box for the tap in.
