Yeah, I'm definitely gonna hit 405 on bench before the end of the year, got 375 up 3 times with no spot after a week off from the gym. My shoulders are feeling a lot better, they will never be 100% but they aren't going to hold me back.

Tonight I did some deadlifts, repped 435 x 3, which to people that take lifting seriously isn't really a lot, but after the set two kids that were watching actually applauded and a trainer complimented me on the lift. Pretty corny, but it really stuck with me after and just makes me want to push harder to get those lifts up.

Dude, 435lbs is a lot of weight, regardless how long you've been lifting.

Congrats.

So I was reading this blog by Anthony Mychal which I find very interesting. His blog is about his personal story about his health from when he was a teenager until now and going against the standards of building a physique. He goes into dieting, fasting, nutrition, body building, etc.

I came upon this video of these people doing what's called "Trick Battling". Which is basically like dance battling, but in the form of tumbling. I find it pretty amazing and I wish I could see some of their footwork and landings in super-slow-mo. Also Mr. Mychal's blog is extremely interesting to much for anyone interested...

to become a cop in my country all you need to do is 55 pushups, 10 chinups, 60 crunches and run 3200 metres ( 2miles ) in 13:30 min.. for males.. for females its obviously even lower.

and still only 20% of the candidates made it through this

what a joke, no wonder everyone is toying with us

I have genetically shitty traps I guess, I can shrug & deadlift a lot of weight, but my traps just refuse to "pop" when I see them from the front. Doesn't help that I have almost no neck, but still I'd expect them to pop more with the weights I move but nope. The only positive is that you can see my traps through sweatshirts and hoodies from behind, looks like two hooks in my back. But I can't really see them from the front

Really annoying to see someone shrugging half the weight you move, but with much better traps.

Strength and Endurance time.

Did a couple sets of leg press.
Couple sets of Landmine Presses.
Couple of rows
Did very slow Russian Full Contact Twist (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that anyone who wants a strong core ONLY do these, hanging leg raises, rollouts, and planks with Squats and Deads. Say no to crunches/situps and side bends!!!!)

And finished it off with a cardio calisthenic circuit ( I LOVE THEZE)
Dips
TRX Rows
Chin Ups
Burpees
Swings.
Rest was 5-10 seconds. Cardio looking swell. Want to be INFATIGABLE though. Switched up the diet to mimic Ben Greenfield a guy who is basically a triathalon champ. Advocates a strong portion of calories from fat which is detrimental to bodybuilding goals, but has you feeling healthier and more stable.

His food pyramid is something like
4th level: Fruit
3rd level: Starch?legume (Lentils, Yams)
2nd level: PROTEIN (beef, turkey, eggs, tuna)
1st level: VEG (broccoli, asparagus, kale, spinach, chard)
BASE; FAT (coconut oil, egg yolks, avocado, butter, almonds)

Feeling very fit. Much respect to Rushfit, MMA guys, and Crossfit for encouraging us to use our bodyweight to train our hearts as oppose to running on the modern day Guillotine which is the treadmill.

This winter may be rough, but our inner fire never dissipates.

Anyone who's trying to hit their goals with their training, now's the time. Personally, I find thatt he last stretch of the year can produce some of my most motivated training sessions. Who's up to post their goals and support each other for the next 6 weeks?

I've said in this thread before that my goals are usually more visual than numerical but my goal at this point is to work on my distance running. I went out and bought that treadmill I had been thinking about and right now my goal is just to make some progress on there. Right now I'm doing about 2 miles a day but my goal is to get up to about 5. So that's my main goal that I'll work towards

I prefer to run outside but this cold air will shred my lungs. Gonna have to find a new TV show to invest myself in or something. It's way too easy for me to throw in the towel when I can just step off the treadmill.

Sometimes I'll run to and from the gym. It's three miles each way. I leave my money/credit cards behind so that I can't call for a cab and have to run to get home. And even then I've been tempted to call people for a ride.

My goal is to switch things up. I think I'm in a rut. I need a big change from lifting and cardio. I do switch things up as far as my routine goes, but I think I need something more drastic.

Insanity? Crossfit? Maybe I should go hard(er) into yoga.

I don't even know what my goals are anymore, part of me wants to bulk up to around 275-280lbs, the other part wants to see what I look like at 205.

My goals are to stay on the path I'm on till January. Which is lifting, eating (a lot) and sleeping. Come the new year I want to drastically change my routine. Thinking of doing a 12 week program, just not sure what I'm going to do yet. Reason being, I feel my body is adjusting to my current routine too much.

Go to 205 bro.

The older I get, the less I care about how much I weigh and how much I lift. I just cut now to a weight I haven't seen until my first year of university, and it feels great. Particularly carrying around all this muscle at this weight, and being such a low bodyfat%.

You might not lift as much; I certainly don't, but you look better, and shit, it makes certain body parts look bigger. I've always been worried about my arms looking small, even though I get told they look big by damn near every girl I talk to, but now I can actually say for myself that I agree.

I'm down to 202lbs now. Benching about 20-25lbs less than what I was at 235lbs, but as far as the other compounds go, about the same. Even military press has stayed pretty even outside maybe a 5lbs drop at the very end of the cut.

Looking lean is the way to go. With the weight you move already, slim down, and you'll still have insane strength, and you'll already be so densely packed with muscle that all you have to focus on is maintaining.
