boring team but I'm glad they found someone...I was getting worried that the show would just get canceled...

most of it is focused on the 3rd stringers fighting for a spot anyway, so the the lack of big names on the Dolphins isn't really that big of deal...

Just more fuel to the fire for Tannehill. If he struggles at all during training camp, it's going to be a hate fest.

Bleh. I'll prolly watch but not really anybody I care about on Miami. I like Jake Long, Vontae David and Sean Jones, that's about it.

I'm just thankful the Redskins declined. We didn't need that shit

IMO this show should be a requirement if offered...

the NFL's main purpose is to entertain the fans, everything else is second...teams that are denying this show are really just slaping the fans in the face, denying them a look into their team...

I understand it being viewed as a distraction but this is all in the name of entertainment...

Why? The Dolphins suck even worse than the Jets, and they're boring. At least the Jets have a bunch of obnoxious loud mouths and criminals. That's brilliantly entertaining. Oh, and they have Tebow.

Wish the Jets didn't turn them down. That would have been A+ entertainment.

Maybe Tannehill's wife will be a consistently featured person on the show.

Wow, why the hell should a coaching staff/roster HAVE to be burdened by cameras and unnecessary irregularities if they don't want it? The whole purpose of training camp is to work together as a team (i.e. f uck the rest) for a common goal. Obv it's not as pure if HBO films has a certain angle they wanna go with and maybe try to exploit.

The main goals of things like Hard Knocks and HBO Films is to paint an entertaining picture. They're film journalists. As a coach or new player, why would I want added pressure of a high profile artistic take on my team being constantly unfolded when I wanna teach/ learn the playbook? Training Camp should be private unless your team already has very good familarity and experience w one another. A team like the Redskins should get comfy and buckle down to pure football before having HBO cameras around. Thank God it's not required and they turned them down. Maybe in two years I'd like us to be on Hard Knocks, not while the pillars are being constructed and there's work to be learned.

I swear, it's very obvious that you're more fan than an actual football mind. Rather be entertained than anything else. That's fine but I guess what I'm saying is that you're a mediocre mind when it comes to the nuances of the game. We're all fans too but some of us here know more what it takes to have a focused and successful team than others...even if our own team isn't very good year to year.

U would think entertainment is number 1...you're a Cowboys fan. A team that's entertaining to follow yet never gets it done.

Maybe entertainment is number 1 for the NFL, as it should be. I couldn't give two shits about Goodell or his priorities. The league is in great standing with all that.

Number 1 for me is my squad that I've rooted for since birth making great strides to be a contender, all that starts in OTAs, minicamp and Training Camp specifically. Getting wins and finding an identity, no matter how 'entertaining'. Most of the good teams are tight knit and don't need other people to motivate or create excitement for camp, they are focused.

As a coach, no way would I wanna deal with dudes trying to show up and show off for NFL Films and HBO, trying to make a name for themselves outside the adhesive of the team. I would want my guys working hard and staying focused for a long grueling season where consistency is a must. Again, developed in training camp/practice.
