Default Favourite Raptor's Moments

Given that our team's future looks .... mediocre (as usual), I thought it'd be nice to post some of your favourite Rap's moments? Let's try to stay away from really obvious ones like VC's slam dunk contest, just to make this interesting?

I started following the Raps around 2000 (just after TMAC left), so I'm especially interested to learn more about the Raps before that time.

---Jerome Williams and Alvin Williams leading an undermanned Raps squad against a Tmac lead Orlando. (Game Recap here)

--- Donyell Marshall's 12 3-pointers (video)

---Leon Clark's dunk against the Mavs. (video)

Yes it does. That's one of those moments where you remember where you watched it happen and what you did that day. Definitely the best alley oop of all time. Then he hits a string of jumpers and the game winning 3.

Sam Mitchell's facial expression was priceless. And I remember this game clear as day, that's when Peterson was getting a ton of DNPCD's and he had sat this entire game up to the final minute.

The best early stuff I canteven find on the net... early 90's

(I been following the team since we played in Skydome!)

- Mighty Mouse goes off and Raptors beat the mighty Chi Bulls in his rookie season. Isiah was deemed a moron for taking an undersized PG so high.

- Every game we played against the Vancouver Griz.
These were epic games. Especially because "Isiah was messing up Toronto and Stu was the perfect GM in Vancouver". We drafted Camby but Stu drafted Abdur Rahiem. Conventional wisdom - stupid Torotno. The drafted BC Reeves from Okla - they had Bibby. We took some high school project called Tmac that wouldnt amount to much. Bottom line is Toronto was always stupid and Vancouver was alswy brilliant - and we consistently beat the Griz head to head.

What was the media atmosphere like with these games? I've always wondered if these were marketed like hockey games -- "Hockey Night in Canada" or w/e.
Interesting!

I miss the Toronto vs. Vancouver games, I still think Vancouver and/or Montreal could easily be a top market for basketball in North America, but we won't see that happen again for a long time. I'd love to see New Orleans move to Montreal, I think it'd be fantastic!
