Thats because you have a boner for the guy.

And whats wrong with Mike Vick? He did the crime and time. I cant see how he comes across as a b!tch (unless the dog thing upsets you) or primadonna. D.Jax I can see how he acts like a b1tch. He's immature.

I'm sorry what was your point again?

Well GOBBarino, I don't have a 'boner' for the guy, I just respect and appreciate generational talent. I have all along because I knew what I was witnessing even years ago. Just did a bit of reflecting and recalling some of the brilliant & tough football Tomlinson got to display. He was made to be a football player and during his career it seemed he cared about little else in the way of distractions and fame.

Mike Vick rubbed me the wrong way multiple times last season with his bullshit call lobbying. Like just because he's an explosive athlete he should be entitled to peruse the pocket and the field at his discretion without any kind of risk. That's going against the very nature of football and it came off as him just aware of how frail he his after getting taken out of multiple games. He wants flags whenever he is touched and it appears he will more or less get his wishes granted in the near future. So yea, that's primadonna to me. Either use those legs and avoid contact or continue to improve as a passer and get rid of the pigskin

One of the best ever.

Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith, Eric Dickerson, Jim Brown, Marshall Faulk and Earl Campbell. LT is right there in my opinion.

Surprised to see a lot of people on radio and tv say he's not a top 10 back of all-time.

The fact that the guy put up 31 TDs in an increasingly pass oriented NFL kinda refutes that opinion. Sure, he had a lot of reception TDs but the guy was very well rounded.

Not top 10? My ass. Again, Tomlinson dominated a more complex NFL than some of those guys

A lot of things are wrong with Mike Vick. He's the one player in the NFL that I absolutely HATE. I'm sorry, but anybody that kills dogs is just a straight up bitch. Not to mention him whining that he's getting hit too hard. Seriously, **** that guy.

Besides the occasional sideline pouting, Tomlinson has always seemed like a class act to me.

Curtis Martin has better career stats than Campbell but he's not a better or greater player.

Earl was voted 55th all-time on the NFL Network list
he's a three time rushing title champion
back to back to back NFL Offensive Player of The Year

If that wasn't enough, he was a back to back to back winner of the MVP award voted on by players in the NFL (The Newspaper Enterprise MVP award) and back to back MVP voted on by the Pro Football Writers Association....and voted as an MVP by the Associated Press.

Dude he is a 3 all pro and ONE TIME MVP...with less than 10000 yards

No one cares about that other shit...

He isn't top 10 all time...MAYBE top 15...even that is pushing it

I'd say being voted by your peers as the MVP is worth as much or more than being voted an MVP by a bunch of writers scattered across the country without internet. Hockey has this (peers voting for MVP) and it's a prestigious award.

Since when do rushing titles not matter? They're a huge achievement for a running back. Offensive Player of The Years don't matter? Especially three in a row? That's a load of bullshit that only you believe.

the player's top-100 lists are a joke, no one takes them seriously, and there are many runners with little side accolades like that.

the real accolades are AP MVPs and All Pro Teams...and perhaps Probowls...not fckin Pepsi-Cola's Player of the Week.

and with ranking all time rushers total yardage and TDs are the main factors

Earl Campbell is a fan favorite because of his bruising running style but the truth is he is 30th all time in rushing yards and only played 8 years.

he is NOT top-10 all time

Earl Campbell is one of the top 10 RBs to play the game.

But Earl Campbell's career is not that of a top 10 RB.

There's a difference. Prime, you only seem to care about stats. Although Campbell didn't have a 10- or 15-year career, when he was playing, he was easily one of the best RBs of all time. You don't have to reach a certain amount of years, carries, yards or TDs to be considered a great if your play on the field in a short time spoke for itself.

The top 100 wasn't a players only vote. It was current and former NFL coaches, players, executives, and members of the media. They are as credible a list of guys as you're going to get.

There are many runners with little accolades like that?

Name three who have 1 MVP, 3 rushing titles, 3 Offensive Player of The Year awards.

You're an idiot for comparing an award like the Offensive Player of The Year award to a Pepsi Player of The Week.

What makes an AP MVP award back then more credible than one voted by your peers who play against you ever week anyway? What made the AP more credible than the Pro Football Writers Association back then who voted him back to back MVP?

The AP voted Bradshaw as the MVP in '78, the only outlet to vote him as such. His stats were 28tds/20ints and tossed under 3000 yards.
