Default Rumor: Nets want into a pick Bobcats shopping one

http://tracking.si.com/2012/06/17/br...?sct=nba_t2_a8

The way the article is written is that the Bobcats would shop number 2.

I have a hard time believing it as they need help at so many positions. I think they will keep number 2 for an impact player.

I "could see the Bobcats" trading down from number 2 for a couple of picks via Houston and or Boston. I mean if you have just posted the worse season ever, your owner is bleeding money, you would be very tempeted to take two middle late rounders to build some sort of young core of player to build on for the future....

Frankly what I would want the Raptors to do...

14/16 or 21/22 may not be alstars - but very Championship team needs a couple of Byron Scotts for every Magic or Worthy.

The bobcats are offering the pick for James Harden or Rudy Gay.

With Both Charlotte and Golden State looking to trade their pick for a young established 2/3 good luck to the raps trying to move theirs for the same.

Just another way a poorly executed tank will screw us.

If teams like GS improve by even 5-8 wins next season via trades then the Raptors have a much better chance of tanking if we don't add temporary talent.

Hornets Wizards complete trade.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...?sct=nba_t2_a3

Hornets agree to trade Okafor, Ariza to Wizards for Lewis

So Hornets with the 1st and 10th pick obviously use them but still lack a PG to play meaningful minutes. They get the consenus big man with number 1 and take a PG later ? I think any trade rumors around the 10th are gone.

(side observation- If they waned a Toronto PG they can absorb Jose Calderon contract now I would guess - but frankly there is nothing to send back cause EG is obviously a cornerstone).

(side observation 2 - talked about deal for Okafor now dead. Raptors wont get him)

Wizards load up on front court d help and burn their cap space. They have to take a 2 in the draft. Dont see them moving down - sideways - or anywhere simply taking the best 2 or 2/3 tweener available at 3 overall.

Lakers want into draft probably mid late 1st round.

I think Quincy Miller is gone in 1st round but the Toronto Raptors have a high second rounder to offer.....
