I understand the Nash speculation.
However, I dont think Nash is even considering us. I think the NY media & some fans have stashed away this dream of pairing up Nash & Amare again, but without D'Antoni it doesn't seem possible.
Not to mention Nash is a defensive liability, and it would force Lin to SG and he's definetly not going to be able to guard SG's full-time.

This will be a gift and a curse. Short term we get to spend money. Long term, we are going to overpay both guys and kill ourselves in the future. I was almost hoping we lost.

Lin is the only one that will be overpaid, but that's because he is a cash cow. I think Novak will sign for under $3 million. He wants to be a Knick, and there won't be any huge offers on the table for him since he is so limited in areas other than shooting. 4 years $12 million is my guess for him.

Without them we are over. With them we are over. What difference do you see?

7 players under contract with a BAE MLE this doesnt seem like we would be able to fill the roster if the Knicks lost.
