I disagree. Lots of important information came out tonight. You find out how badly Walt got screwed over with his company that he started. The writers have now given us a huge look at the reasons behind Walt's greed and bitterness.

The scene where Walt whistles says it all. Walt doesn't give a damn about the kid dying.

Jesse goes to Walt's house for the first time in the entire series and Skyler sees Jesse for the first time since she told him to stop selling Walt weed.

This was a great episode.

All that is true, but still the weakest one of the season.

And that goes to show just how high the bar has been set for this show.

I disagree with you though...that opening scene was pretty soul-crushing, and all of the plot points that are being set in motion seem to be leading to something huge. After last week's episode, I'm glad we got one that showed forward movement as well as why Walt's so reluctant to quit the meth business.

Weakest epi so far this season was easily the season premiere.

This episode was great.

i think the big question is what does Walt have in mind to make a deal with the Phoenix dealers?

Whatever it is, it must've been a genius (ballsy) plan to make Mike go with it.

Which is why Walt's plan must've been genius.

He was gonna KILL Walt, he'd have no problem in doing so. He could've taken the liquid shit and sold it (he would've found it), he wasn't gonna retire broke. The plan would've been good enough for him to stay in.

One thing I'm not enjoying in these episodes is that I already know Walt's fate. That means during the train scene I knew they were going to pull it off. Whenever Walt gets his life threatened I already know nothing is going to happen. Why? Because we already saw that he makes it to his 52nd birthday.

There isn't much tension during these scenes because of that. Have someone put a gun to Jesse's head and it might make me a bit more nervous. We don't know if Jesse is alive by the time Walt turns 52.

I get you gotta keep the "Walt's an extremely resourceful genius" thing going I guess, but just break your glasses Walt.

Also, AMC gave the Breaking Bad lead in to a "reality" show about a weirdo small town security firm.

This tells you all you need to know about the future of the network post Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Walking Dead'll keep getting big ratings because people are stupid, that show sucks. I don't know if they're under new management the last couple years or whatever, but it's disappointing. At least FX is still putting Louie and Wilfred (which probably shouldn't be renewed, but at least it's different) on. Maybe they'll step up.

FX also is signed on for a couple more seasons of Sons of Anarchy.

I thought Mike was going to die this episode. I think it will happen this season. Was also thinking family would die this season, but not sure anymore.
