So GOBB, your right, lets take the QB who sets records at regular season and chokes in the playoffs over a QB that plays solid in the regular season and steps up in playoffs
Once again. The playoffs are when it counts. Who has put up better numbers then? Give anyone the QB that puts up better playoff numbers over the QB that puts up better regular season numbers. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out
Better Playoff Stats/Worse Regular Season Stats > Better Regular Season Stats/Worse Playoff Stats
Make any sense?
Manning is the better player. Brady has the better TEAM.
Manning hasn't played well in the playoffs this season. Nor has he really played well in the playoffs overall (like what, 2 big games? against Denver and against KC like three years ago?)
Football = team sport. Manning individually is better. Brady just has the better team and the best coach in football. Intangibles, as we say. Oh, and if you like to compare stats, Manning is ****loads better then Brady. Brady just has the better team and coaching.
Oh, and btw if Vanderjagt (god bless his soul, his confidence is DESTROYED Brad Lidge style), I think the Colts get over the hump last year.

Your right. Brady has the better team because Brady's in it
NE is simply better as a team. No one wins individually. As great as Tom Brady is, he didn't win those games by himself. He didn't kick the FG. He wasn't playing defense.
Just like Manning can't kick FGs, or play defense. Teams win games. Brady's team has the intangibles. Indy simply doesn't.
Defense has been a mainstay in titles being won. When you rank importance, defense comes up first in baseball, football and basketball. You never heard an argument about how great offenses winning SBs.
Stl Rams were a high powered offensive power during the regular season. Greatest show on Turf. In the SB? Rams DEFENSE is what won them the game not thier great offense which was known throughout the reg season. It was a TACKLE that sealed the victory for the Rams not a TD to Faulk.
Smarten up. Great hitting, beautiful offensive stats can be shut down, negated, made to look POOR by good pitching. While you're hitting 60HRs, driving in a million runs with a ridiculous batting avg. You face good pitching in a playoff series and your bat looks limp. Lets act like we know here.
Colts 2 playoff wins were a direct result of thier DEFENSE. Not thier offense.
Your right. Defense wins championships. A good defensive team beats out a good offensive team. But don't forget, a great WR beats a great CB. Perfect coverage always loses to perfect throw and catch.

But I'm speaking individually. When Brady needs to make a big play, he makes it. When Peyton needs to make a big play. He throws in interception.
How you can blame those situations on anyone other than the players making that play is beyond me.

True. Brady didn't win those games by himself. Manning didn't win his games by himself. Whats your point? Brady played a big role in his wins. Manning hasn't won. Whats your point?

My point is in the post. Brady's team is better.
Oh, and if Vinateri misses those FGs, is Brady still clutch? and magnificient?

Cant throw a perfect throw if the defense is in your QBs face.
What an idiot. OK, how about you explain this. Why has Brady put up better playoff numbers than Manning? Don't bring in Patriot's defense in this, because I am sure Patriots defense didn't have a huge affect on how Brady would play.
Why has Brady put up better playoff numbers than Manning even though Manning has had better offensive weapons?
