The exact opposite actually.

The goal is to make as many playoff appearances as possible regardless of the seed. Once the Raptors sign Nash, they are primed to make quick 1st round exits for at least the next 3 years.

Lol the Timberwolves traded the 18th pick just because Ross wouldn't fall to them. Bet they didn't think Ross would go that early...
