Default Raps To Meet with Batum

The New Orleans Hornets and Toronto Raptors have also reached out to Batum's agent, Bouna Ndiaye, and meetings with those teams have been agreed on and will be scheduled shortly after the Minnesota trip, a separate source said.

Now this is a player I would have no objections to spending some money on.

He's productive all-around player that would immediately start and play big minutes for the Raptors. The key thing here is that Batum will only be 24 this year. If you sign him to a 4 year deal, you're basically locking up for most of his prime years.

The only thing I don't like about his game is that he's not good at creating his own offense from the perimeter but whatever, if he could do that he'd be a perennial All-Star who would not have a chance at.

I'm all for this. One of the very few free agents this year I'd be pleased to have sign for decent money.

He's restricted. Pretty much a pipedream.

Free agent Nicolas Batum has reportedly narrowed his choices down to the Timberwolves and Blazers, and has postponed all future visits.
