Which ones would he still have won a ring with?

Here were the teams that were trying to sign him

Clippers
Nets
Knicks
Clippers

Bulls.

I don't think he would have signed with the Knicks because he said his interest in the FA market was winning. I believe he probably would have been on his way to the Bulls had Miami not traded Cook to clear space where they could sign Bosh, Wade, and LeBron to maxes or near maxes. Plus, the Bulls were the team that everybody was saying LeBron was going to go to or has strong interest in when the 2010 season was over.

Bulls and Cavaliers had the best shot in-my-opinion.

Although with the Cavaliers I felt it would've been delayed more. I don't think their current team setup with...

Mo Williams
Anthony Parker
LeBron James
Antawn Jamison
Anderson Varejao

...was going to do it. I think they'd still be a few years out and Jamison would be gone by then. They would've had to rebuild some major parts of their roster to go at it again.

-Cleveland would have to find away to sign a legit #2. But they wouldn't have a much of chance if they kept the same core around.

I think thats what stopped him from staying. Becuase he was going to have to stick it out with the same players for another two seasons. Cleveland now has a ton of cap-space to work with, I believe.

A more interesting thread would be; What if Dwayne Wade signed with his home town Chicago. Would Lebron have stayed in Cleveland? Would he have won a ring in Cleveland? Would the Bulls have won a ring? Where would Chris Bosh have signed? Who would be the most criticized athlete now?

They do have some cap space, but they're not going to sign anyone great I think. Plus there's no top free agents out there currently that are willing to sign with Cleveland probably. Our names have been rumored with Jonny Flynn...Jonny f*cking Flynn?

In either case, I hope free agency goes a lot better than what it looks to go. Although they did sign Kevin Jones, undrafted PF with some promise.

He would've signed with the Nets.

They were set and ready to make moves the same way Miami did had LeBron signed. Everyone on that roster would have been traded.

Everybody seems to forget Chicago had to move Luol Deng's contract if they were to take LeBron on. They had dumped Kirk Hinrich and Deng would have been next. Also people seem to forget Rose's comments relating to Wade/LeBron possibly joining the Bulls, Rose's team.

If Wade signed with the Bulls the entire course of the NBA would have been changed. Riley would've probably went after Amare and Joe Johnson to keep the Heat as a competitive team.

I don't know what would have happened to Bosh.

My guess is he would have followed Wade to Chicago.

Lebron and Bosh would have probably teamed up in New Jersey if Wade signed in Chicago. I don't think the Bulls would have won a ring. Wade/Rose don't compliment each other well at all. Even Lebron/Wade is a better fit. Plus, Aside from Dirk, im not sure if there is a better all-star to pair with Lebron than Bosh. Not sure if they win the ring without Wade, because he did have a good Finals. But they definitely make the Finals.

Whoever said Cavaliers and Bulls is a smart man.
He would have won one in Cleveland by now. Chicago is self-explanitory.

He may have been able to turn New York around, and I think Amare would have been a good running mate with him, but it's doubtful.

He would have won a ring with all of those teams eventually...

But Bulls... omg... they would be the scariest team out there, much scarier than Heat... not to mention younger with brighter future... but i guess Lebron didnt want to follow the footsteps/shadow of Jordan, he wanted to make his own...

It really is a poor free agent class. OT, do you think the Cavs would have been better off with Grant running the team than Ferry? Or did Paxson do too much damage to really recover from during the Lebron Era? I personally think Grant is a damn good GM. He gets bashed for the Thompson/Waiter picks, but I think he is building a nice team.
