It would take more than that.
Maybe Williams, Beasley, Barea, Budinger and a couple picks.
And they have to take MWP or Blake off our hands.
Say Pau and Blake for Williams, Beas, Barea, Budinger and future picks?
Getting Barea while shedding Blake would justify using Blakes money to keep Sessions. A Sessions/Barea combo at PG would be an improvement, yet I still feel they are both back ups.
Budinger would help at the 3, and he's a bargain.
Beas can play both forward positions (so can help to replace Pau) and would strengthen the bench.
Williams would also help replace Pau.
This would also help the financials big time.
Even then, they still get the better of this deal.
The big problem is you just don't know what you have with Derrick Williams.
H could be a stud or a bust, or anything in between.
I don't think the Lakers would do this. Pau is worth much more.
I'm assuming the deal is Williams, Beasley and Barea. Which isn't enough for Gasol, in my opinion. Doesn't address the starting PG position.
I agree with you, it's not enough.
Also saw your thread in the main forum on the 3 team deal. Nice possibility, but I doubt KG comes to te Lakers.
You ought to just post here though, the main forum is trolls paradise. So many losers thinks it makes them look big to bash Laker fans with ideas.
Me thinks they all have tiny XXXXX, and bashing Laker fans makes them feel like their not such losers.

You need help. Seriously....get yourself a female.
Meanwhile, persistent rumors of a possible trade of Lakers power forward Pau Gasol continued, with the Minnesota Timberwolves the latest team with an interest in acquiring the 7-footer, according to reports Friday out of Minneapolis.
The Timberwolves reportedly tried to get Gasol from the Lakers as part of a three-team deal with the Charlotte Bobcats. The Timberwolves would have sent power forward Derrick Williams to Charlotte and the Lakers would have received a draft pick.
It didn't happen, and the Bobcats selected forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist of Kentucky with the second overall pick. Williams remained with the Timberwolves and Gasol with the Lakers, who tried but failed to move up in the draft Thursday.
Gasol is owed $38 million over the next two seasons, which could make it difficult for the Lakers to deal him in an increasingly cost-conscious league. It's also likely the Lakers could keep their core group together for a while longer.
You need help. Seriously....get yourself a female.
Have one, thanks.
And what would make you say that?
I was having a conversation with Balls Out, had nothing to do with you.
He wrote a post on a trade idea in the forum and was immediately innundated by like 5 guys saying "fing laker fans are stupid".
There are a lot of trolls in there that just do nothing but try to belittle others...... hey, kind of like you!

thanks man i really appreciate it...I only said they are trying...I never said the deal was on the table or if deron has agreed to sign with lakers...
its funny how people try to belittle every laker related information on the main board.
Derrick Williams
Beasley
Budinger
S&T for OJ Mayo
1st round pick
even then I am not sure how this makes the lakers contenders...
I'd try for Barea too. I think Minny would trade anyone in this deal except Love, Rubio and Pek.
Williams
Beasley
Budinger
Barea
Can they work a S&T for an UFA like Mayo this way?
Picks
Also, move out one or more of our toxic contracts.
I'd like to see the Lakers move MWP, Blake and McBob.
The money we save from moving Blake could help resign Sessions.
Barea/Sessions pretty decent combo at PG.
The money we save from moving McBob could help keep JHill.
Maybe we could send the pick to Washington to get them to swap Metta for Ariza.
Then we end up with:
Williams
Beasly
Ariza
Budinger
Barea
We'd have a nice PG combo
Bynum, Williams, Beasley, Hill for our bigs.
Ariza, Bud for SF's.
Kobe
And we'd right our financial situation, as we'd cut payroll by 10-15 mil.
If we resigned Sessions, Hill and Beasley (in the S&T) to 3 year deals, we'd be set up beautifully for 2 years from now, when Kobe's deal expires.
Not saying I'd do it. Wait it out to see what else may come along.
Pau is a great player, but it's certainly worth strong consideration.
Have one, thanks.

This is a message board. Anyone can respond to any comment that is posted. You do understand how that works, right?
Regarding me being a "troll". Just because I don't worship at the feet of a bunch of guys on a particular basketball team, like you do, doesn't make me a "troll".
Seems to me that you are more of a groupie than a fan. Do you wear t-shirts with pictures of basketball players on them? Pathetic...
