Players study other players who play their position (I've heard many MLB's say they have studied Ray Lewis, for example)

I could see that...but I am thinking someone on the DL would be a tuuurable judge of DBs...or LBs

esp teams they never face

I am liking Jaws' Top 32 QB's on ESPN.

He knows his stuff, studies tape, he did play the position so he does know what he's talking about.

While I don't agree with the list, its good to see how well regarded Cam Newton is among his peers. Just goes to show you how impressive he has been.

Can't wait til Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III have a good/great 1st season and end up on next year's top 10 NFL Quarterbacks list

Newton is super hard to rank. His rookie year was incredible, but it is so hard to base a high ranking on just one year alone. I would say he is top 10, but I could see him varying 6 or so spots depending on the person ranking. Tebow and Romo being right next to each other is pretty laughable, as well as Tebow being above the likes of Ryan, Schaub, Sanchez, Smith, and Bradford.

Homer post now, but I really think that Stafford is going to begin competing like a top three quarterback within the next couple of seasons. If him and Calvin stay together, I could see that tandem breaking quite a few records.

I understand that Cam's body of work is limited, but lets not act like what he did was routine. He set the NFL record for rushing TDs for a QB and the record for yards thrown by a rookie, while almost single-handedly reinvigorating one of the worst sports markets in the country.

If Griffin or Luck approaches that then yes they should be considered when the top QB's are listed.

I mean what he did was incredible and a promising start to a hopefully stellar career but for a rookie to be 6th over guys like Philip Rivers and Mike Vick (who I don't even like or think is that great) is kinda questionable to me. Rivers had one bad year and Cam had one good year and automatically he's better. Um...no I've seen Rivers do many incredible things, same w Vick. Cam Newton hasn't even showed the NFL for two seasons he can maintain that high bar he set.

Rivers "bad year" was still better than Cam last year...

I like Cam and think he'll be great but this is just a horrible joke of a list...

Flacco shouldn't be there at all...or Tebow obviously

He is average at best and one of the only things holding the Ravens back from a ring.
