Nash to New York! Excellent! I hate the Knicks but I'm glad he didn't choose Toronto.

Now it's time fire Colangelo immediately before he gives Dragic $40-50 million.

Man I could not agree more. Get rid of BC ASAP before we end up with Dragic or Lin at a crazy number.

We drafted Ross to suit Nash and we offered Fields to get Nash.

I feel ok about this.
Sort of relieved.

At least this will spell the end of BC's rein of terror.

Maybe he'll do one more stupid contract (Dragic) but it won't save him when we miss the playoffs again.

I think we should make a play for tyreke Evans. Last year of his deal, see how he does in a new environment. Offer an extension if he starts playing well. We have a glutton of marginal SG/SF's and if I'm not mistaken, a trade exception from barbosa's deal. Hell, maybe they'd take Jose. Tyreke seems like his confidence is rattled, but the talent is there. If he can regain his rookie season form and improve with he raps, maybe he decides to resign. I don't even know what to say at this point. Look for a bunch of trades to be rumored now. And ilyasova was reportedly offered 5 yrs 40M. That's a fair contact. If the raps are to contend, they'd overpay. I say leave him be. Only route I see is through trades for any significant talent. Thank god for Val and even Ross this season. Really looking forward to that, regardless of what's around them.

Dragic is now a Sun. I wonder if Lowry sticks it out in Houston. FA's are dropping like flies now. Best option is the trade route. Hope BC doesn't try another move for Lin at 4 yrs 36M to top Houston.

Is there anyway we can get out of this Landry Fields thing?

Yes: Withdraw the offer, then fire BC due to poor judgment caused by temporary Nash-sanity.

Raps reputation goes down, but the blame falls on BC, who is no longer with the Raps.

Then, stick to trades until all this cools off.

Works for me. But is this what is going to happen?

Or is this crazy man, going to stick to his guns and keep Fields?

Edit: P.S The funny thing is, BC would of been better off doing absolutely nothing this off season.

There is nothing we can or should do about it except suck it up. You never correct a bad business decision with another bad business decision. In the end, the decision to rescind an offer will fall on franchise ownership who has last say. It's already difficult enough for us to attract FA's to Toronto. We cannot risk having this sort of stigma associated with us.

My hope is that BC had the wherewithal to put a clause in the offer that made it contingent upon Nash coming to Toronto.

Agree.

At least there is a chance NY will match now.

I am sure the Raps are busy contacting Jason Kidd, Raymond Felton, Johnny Flynn, Roko Ukic and anyone else that can dribble and that they can throw money at.
