Default How about trading...

Ely and G-Dub for a 1st round pick? The Cats aren't going anywhere this season and another 1st rounder would be great with the projected depth in the draft and then we could sign VC.

Why G-Dub? He's proven his value to the team. Do we really want to trade G-Dub for a player who has basically just graduated from kindergarten? I mean, it isn't automatic that a draft pick will turn out to be a Kobe or LeBron...

The "heart and soul" of the team? WHAT? G-Dub leads the team in the following categories: N-O-N-E, how can the heart and soul of a team not be leading that team in at least 1 category?

Nearly all of his stats are down from last year except TO. He actually has more this year than last. And if I'm not mistaken, he's a F.A. at the end of this season, meaning to keep him will cost a lot more then he's getting paid now.

Oh and one other thing, the Cats are in last place AGAIN, so if he is the heart and soul of the team, I think he needs a pacemaker!

The Cats are #26 out of 30 and are now above the Hawks in the Southeast. Irrespective of G-Dub's stats IMO losing him would be a real morale flattener both for the team and fans.

wow, you're on a roll today arent you?

Trading Wallace is like...no, there's no comparison. This trade makes about as much sense as an autistic squirrel trying to replace a light bulb.

Guess what nocktard, the reason Wallace isn't leading the team in anything this year, is because he actually has help this year!!! Durrrrrrrrr. Okafor hasn't been injured this year, he's been playing great ball. Carroll has come up big. Morrison has had his moments. Felton and May have matured.

Last year it was basically Gerald Wallace, some rookies, and league rejects. That's it. So of course he's going to lead the team in everything.

Who gives a flying fart in space if the Cats are in last again, it's only their third year in the league with minimal talent and experience. Christ you're impatient. Just because we sign VC doesn't necessarily mean we'd have to get rid of Wallace.

Trading away two players for a first rounder makes no sense anyway. Why draft Oden when we have Okafor?

Just because Wallace is a free agent doesn't mean it will cost more to keep him. Ever heard of people signing extensions? Hoo-oh....Shabbah!!!!

Think next time before you spew such garbage.

Criticizing without analyzing makes some folks feel really important.

Wallace has been riddled with injuries this year.... not to mention he's been playing the post alot more then he did last year, he got his amazing defensive numbers from playing perimeter defense, and if you paid any attention he was dominating before he got hurt this last time something like 20 10 2 and 1.5 he's still young and has alot of improving to do, why trade him for a guy that MIGHT be as good as him in 4 years? are you shooting for last place for the next decade?

"He can't be that important cause he doesn't lead them in any category".

Wow. I've always had a slight dislike for people citing stats to prove a player's value, but this just plain impresses me in terms of sheer ignorance.

Hint: during the shortened 98/99 season, David Robinson didn't lead the Spurs in a single category. Which doesn't take anything from the truth that he was, in fact, the heart and soul of the Spurs.

Unhappy

I had NBA League Pass last season and found it to be an absolute waste of money for someone like me who only follows two teams closely; it didn't pay to renew the League Pass this season because very few Cats games are broadcast. But honestly I hate nights like tonight when there's no TV coverage at all. IMO Bob Johnson had better have a better game-plan for next year or our team may fade further into obscurity....

Default Take this advice from a Raptor Fan...

You will regret it if you sign VC...he is a team cancer...he will laugh, smile and make your coach quit his job..... cause when he's not motivated to play, and trust me he does get bored at times... he brings the team down..his team will be losing by 15 points, and he will be having fun on the bench or chatting and catching up on old times with his buddies on the opposing team...the guy is just not a winner...
