Default You as a player.

There was a similar topic to this, but I wanted to go a bit further and mix it up. Basically what are you stats per game, what do you bring to each game? And small descriptions. Being honest of course.

Height: 5'7. Weight: 70kg. Combo guard
age: 25 Years playing: 3

Ppg: 6 - my best is 18
Fg%: 60

Assist: 6 - excellent at running a fast break, with ability to finish but specialize in drawing the defender and using an array of passes to set up team mates.

Rebounds: 6 - good awareness on defense, and ability to box out.

Steals: 1 - best was 4 on 4 iso's in a roll. Tend to prefer to just stay in front of my man then risk a open bucket.

Blocks: 0 - best was 5 playing centre in a Filipino league.

Fouls: 0 - have never fouled out.

Turn overs: 0 - very solid and secure ball handler and great passer

Signiture move: my spin bounce pass, behind the back pass w/either hand,
mid range floater down the middle

Hot spot: mid range Jumpshot along the basline

Biggest weakness: confidence in a 5v5 game

This isn't my averages but it's what you basically get from me, sometimes you get hot, sometimes not lol

Default Re: You as a player.

Height: 6'3''
Weight: 170lbs (or about 77kg)
Position: Shooting Guard/Point Guard
Age: 28
Years Playing: 20?

PPG: In high school I was a 14ppg scorer in a relatively low scoring conference (it was good enough to be top ten in conference). In recreational leagues, as one could expect, that number has ballooned with the reduced defensive efforts and lack of zones and backcourt traps, in conjunction with increased pace. I've averaged between 18 and 24 per in the leagues I have participated in.

FG%: I was literally just about a 50% shooter on the dot in high school. I could not speculate where that percentage would be now.

Assists: No real idea. The number was scary low in high school, as I actually played in the front court back then but did not operate out of the post. As such, my role offensively was to attack and score when provided the opportunity. I'd imagine this number had nowhere to go but up since then, as I stepped into a backcourt role post-high school.

Rebounds: 7rpg in high school. Again, no real basis for comparison now.

Steals: Likely just a little over 1 a night during my career.

Blocks: Less than one a night. I feel as though my high school career high was just 2 or 3.

Fouls: I fouled out every now and again, but I wasn't particularly prone.

Turnovers: I could take better care of the ball. Often I try to force passes due to a sense of obligation to attempt passes to teammates who give me that look of, "C'mon man, just try it! I swear I'm open!"

Signature move: Dribbling right to left, one-foot stepback fallaway. I don't use it very frequently, but it is quite recognizable amongst fellow players as being "my" shot (even if it's just a poor man's off-shoot of Steve Francis' fallaway he hit over and over in his 63pt. summer league game (it's on YouTube).

Favorite Dribble move: In-and-out dribble to cross.

Hot spot: Top of the Key

Biggest weakness: One-on-one defensive quickness

good thread

Height: 5'11
Weight: 155lbs
Position: Point Guard
Age: 22
Years Playing: 10

PPG: Played 1 year or J.V and got no burn so no real basis there. Played 2 years of rec ball and first year avg 15 ppg. I had the green light on that team, with no real second option that year i believe we went 2-15 or something. But i wasnt ready to be a number one option at that time

Second year of rec my junior year of High school still was number one option and had no help but was more productive avg around 21-22 ppg because i was more fearless going to the rim and worked on my free throws alot.

FG%: J.V- 0% (no minutes played)
1st year rec- 40-42% Freethrow: 72%
2nd year rec- 46% Freethrow: 78%

Assists: This is a mixed bag for me, because I am a gifted passer but plenty of times my teammates cant finish, and im not one of those people who just pass when i can get the assist, i like to initiate the offense. But if i remember correctly i think i was around 5 apg

Rebounds: 4 rbs per game, im scrappy and aggressive and get alot of long rebounds as well

Steals: I play the passing lanes a lot and have good awareness probably around 2-2.5

Blocks: 0.2?? Don't get many of those

Fouls: Get alot of dumb calls like over the back, but ive never fouled out

Turnovers: I over dribble in the lane every now and then and im prone to throwing passes even though i know whats going to happen. more than likely 2-3 to's per game.

Signature move: right to left cross through legs then pull up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF6jn...feature=fvwrel 3:40 mark

Favorite Dribble move: In and out dribble

Hot spot: right and left wing

Biggest weakness: Inconsistant volume shooter

Height: 5'10 Weight: ~185lb's
age: 33 Years playing: 2

Ppg: 6 - I've scored as many as 18 playing to 21
Fg%: 60

Assist: 6 - I'm a pretty good passer but I tend to get carried away when I'm not playing well.

Rebounds: 2 - I definitely need to work on rebounding

Steals: 3 I usually pick someones pocket at least once every time I play

Blocks: 3 - I usually get the cheaper kind of blocks from the side as the player is bringing the ball back

Fouls: 2 - I tend to foul if I get beat

Turn overs: 2 - I get a turnover or two every game. I'm pretty strong playing one on one or even against a double team but I sometimes force passes

Signature move: I like the jamal crawford shake and bake, also 15 foot floaters and over the shoulder or behind the back passes.

Hot spot: mid range

Biggest weakness: again forcing passes and sometimes playing to fast or out of control

It's not a rating system. More the stats you would get during a game.

OK I fixed it by putting in what I would normally get in a pickup game to 21

You average 42 with 16 assists and 23 rebounds? What college are you playing for?

I think he's just being facetious. He posted something very similar in another thread. I believe he's just trying to drive home the point that sometimes people exaggerate their real life abilities on the internet, hence the recurring, "Like anyone you typically meet online" quip.

Height: 6'3". Weight: 165lbs SG/SF
age: 21 Years playing: 14 or so

Ppg: Solid 14-15 per game in HS
Fg%: 45-50%

Assist: 2 or 3. Not a playmaker but I made the right pass with accuracy when needed

Rebounds: 5ish. I was always pretty sound at boxing out and a decent leaper which combined with my length helped me grab a good amount of rebounds.

Steals: 1. Didn't have quick hands on D but I was pretty good at playing passing lanes and anticipating. Never took a lot of gambles tho so I didn't get a huge amount of steals.

Blocks: 1. I was pretty good at using my length to surprise people from behind around the rim. Not someone that would get a lot of blocks openly challenging players tho.

Fouls: 3. I used to get tired and reach like a mfer sometimes.

Turn overs: 2 or 3. Handles were never great but the turnovers dropped as I found more of an identity on the court. I rarely turned it over my senior year.

Signiture move: Triple threat. I was a shooter so I would most create seperation with pump fakes and jab steps.

Hot spot: Right wing 3 point range. Sometimes I would catch a ball on the break and sink 22-25 footers when I was feeling it.

Biggest weakness: Handles and strength. I had a tendency to be a little timid sometimes.

A lot of similarities between us. It's almost frightening. Biggest difference seems to be your role as a shooter in contrast with my primary role as a slasher (though I surely enjoy shooting just as well).

Height. 6' 5". Weight. 220 Position. SG/SF/PF

Age. 24, been playing since Elementary school

ppg. 18 or so in high school. Very efficient.

Passing. 5 or so assists per game. Never really run PG but I'm good at passing in transition and out of the post.

Rebounding. at least 11+. Probably my biggest strength. Just always had a knack for it.

Steals. maybe 1 per game, never really my thing. I was taught to play fundamental defense as a kid since I was young, Play perimeter D with my feet more than hands.

Blocks. 3 per game. If you come at me in the paint your gonna get blocked or end up on your ass.

Signature moves. Triple threat on the elbows. Midrange jumpers off the dribble and post ups, mainly hook shots.

Yeah, it is kind of eerie. I bet we would have made a really good combo on the wings if we played together in HS.
