Whoooo...we don't have to play Alabama the third week of the season anymore.

Watching Oregon/Arizona State. Arizona State forced a fumble and recovered on the second play for Oregon, and turned around and scoring a TD on their very first offensive play.

Chip Kelly = best offensive coach in the country. Hands down.

Oregon scores so fast and in so many different ways, it really is impressive. I got caught up watching the 49ers/Seahawks and it was 14-7 in the Oregon game last I saw. I flip back over, 12 minutes and change to go in the 2nd quarter, and it's 29-7 and Mariota is running down the field with no one around to make it 36-7.

Last two times I watched them, they did the same kind of stuff. Against Arizona and Washington State. Both of those games were pretty close at halftime, though, and Oregon came out in the second half and blew them away.

Not only do they seem to score 3+ touchdowns every game on long plays, they get a turnover or two that they either return for a TD, or get close to returning for a TD.

11:33 in the second half against what was supposed to be their toughest test yet, on the road, and they're winning 43-7. Unreal.

Really hope we get an Alabama/Oregon national championship.

What happened? Last I saw Oregon was winning 43-7 with like 11 minutes to go in the second quarter. Now there's 8 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and it's still 43-7. Didn't expect it to be something like 64-7 right now, but thought Oregon would've scored another TD or two.

SMU beat Houston 72-42 tonight.

SMU scored 44 points off 9 Houston turnovers. The Cougars threw 3 pick 6s and gave up a kickoff return for a TD.

Arkansas, Kentucky and Tenn are toast the first 4 games in with their schedules. The next Tenn coach should pray DD survives to be coach one more year with that opening conference slate.

Don't pencil in either team just yet. It is amazing to see Oregon on offense when they are clicking, though. Same way you marvel out how Alabama takes the soul of the offenses they face.

word on DD. i wouldn't be surprised if he's let go after this season but i'm sure some vols fans would say probably not. his SEC record is horrific especially against ranked teams. no way they should be that bad with the recruits they've pulled in. tackling is one of their issues but they also seem to have little fight in them when they go down early.

I agree they are a team that quits at any adversity. They have been in a number of the games they have lost, but it is like they don't recognize they need to make adjustments at the half to help both sides of the ball, so their opponents come out, punch them in the mouth and they are left looking like Mack Brown after the last two Red River beatings.
